3rd Biennale Conference ‘Breathing New Life Into Maternity Care’

Every second year, the ACM hosts this collaborative maternity event. In 2010, the ACM are co-hosts in partnership with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

The aim of the conference is to bring midwives, GPs, service managers, policy makers, and consumers, together to discuss and debate maternity care with a view to ensuring women and babies receive safe and high quality maternity care.

There is an impressive array of workshops and conference sessions planned for the 2010 conference, which is being held in Alice Springs, with international and Australian speakers from all professional and consumer perspectives. This year’s conference pays particular attention to improving out comes for Aboriginal mothers and their babies.
