Hi Leanne,
I am just wanting to know what your thoughts are on breastfeeding whilst pregnant. My daughter is 9 months old and I`ve just found out that I`m 5 weeks pregnant (very exciting)!!! I really want to feed my daughter until she is at least 12 months old, however I want to make sure she is still receiving all of the necessary nutrients from my breast milk as well as doing the right thing for my pregnancy. My daughter still has 4 breastfeeds a day.
Thanks.
I think you will find that most breastfeeding agencies support BF while pregnant; at least in the early stages and given there are no issues.
It in most cases is a personal choice, if you are feeling up to it and all is going well I think it is great to give your bub that full 12 months of BM.
By next month bub can be down to 3 feeds a day and of course month by month you can drop down until you wean. So as bub number 2 grows, you are reducing BF down so it should work quite nicely.
It would be my personal choice to continue, but as I say it is up to you three.
All the best and congrats on your pregnancy,
Leanne
