you will find that most information on feeding babies differs from person to person, this is because much of what is recommended is based on what we have done in the past over actual scientific knowledge (which is of course fine). Generally, you will find a baby of six months will have at least four generally more (sometimes much more) feeds a day, it can be at the lower end if they have been on solids for a little while. You would tend to offer a breastfeed before solids and at least every three hours (babies generally only have about three hours of stored energy, during the day, in their fast growing bodies).
What I have done is provided you with a guide from Karitane that I found helpful, it is just a guide and ultimately your best guide is your baby and you. On routines, Karitane, recommend the following for bubs 6-9 months:
- Early morning milk feed (baby may return to bed)
- Up time 2 ½ to 3 hours - solids
- Play
- Sleep (1.5 to 2 hrs)
- Up time 2 ½ to 3 hours – b’feed
– solids
– Play
– Sleep (1.5 to 2 hrs)
- Up time 2 ½ to 3 hours – b’feed
– solids
– Play
– Bath
– Milk feed (or delay until just before bed)
– Quiet time
– Sleep (1.5 to 2 hrs)
As to the exact time these schedules fall into depends on you and bub. So do what works best for you and your baby. If baby is growing at his usual rate and is happy and healthy you can be pretty sure you are both going just great!
If you would like more info on progressing through solids I have some tip sheets on Huggies on starting solids and also a book, the links are:

(it is at the end as the books are listed in alphabetical order)
Plus a great little fridge chart I did with Organic Bubs on solids on my site:

I hope that helps
All the best
