Hi I am wanting to wean from breast to bottle but I cant seem to find much info on how to do it.

I have seen one person on the internet say do 7-8mins each side for a few days then after the 3rd day take a min off, so feed from the breast for 6mins each side and bottle feed after. Is that right? and once I get to 1min is there any point in feeding for 1min?
Any help would be great

Answer: Hi there,
weaning is a very personal process and one that needs to suit you and your bub. The method you have described sounds like a good idea and is likely to avoid any engorgement that can happen when you skip feeds as apposed to reducing the volume taken at each feed. Just remember to start at a time that suits baby’s current feed time and work from there.

I have also posted some links that might help:

You are very right, once you get a to a minute it is likely that it is of little use to be honest. As you progress you will know when the time is right to cease. Go slowly and in line with baby and things should progress without stress.

All the best with it
