I have been using huggies nappies since my daughter was born. Now she is nearly 8 months old and using crawler nappies - not sure of her weight - maybe 9-10kg? I have noticed now nearly every night she has wet right through her nappy, pj's and sleeping ba

Answer: It may not be so much an issue with the absorbency of the nappies as the volume of urine she’s producing. This is not an uncommon question at her age, especially if the milk volume through the day and evening is a good amount. You may find that using sanitary napkin adhered to the inside of her nappy helps to absorb the excess urine. Some parents use two disposable nappies placed one on top of the other, just until the baby is not weeing so much overnight. If you’re finding she’s soaking her pj’s then this would be worthwhile.
Experiment with some different brands and absorbency qualities of sanitary pads,the less bulky ones should be fine, until you’ve found one which keeps her drier. When toweling nappies were used in days gone by, it was common practice to use two nappies folded together to address exactly the same issue.
