Hi Maree,
I have a 6 week old daughter and is finding it very frustrating to settle her to sleep at night. I am trying the technique that huggies has where I will need to lay her on one side and pat her bottom. But I am finding that whenever I do this her cries just escalates to the state that she turns purple in the face. Being a first time mum I just don`t know if it is good to let her cry like this. Plus it is very distressing to see her cry and not pick her up.

Maree can you help me find a way to settle her with minimum drama as I am at my wits ends with my daughter.

Maree...
Answer: Hi,
Controlled comforting is a hard program to follow and babies do protest, it`s not for everyone but has a great success rate. Crying won`t harm baby but only you can decide what`s right for you and your baby. If I had an easier way I`d most certainly share with each and every one of you.
Cheers, Maree
