About Sarah
Sarah is a freelance writer and one of Australia's best known parenting bloggers. In her everyday life she is a writer, mother to three small children, respectively known as Mr. Large, Miss Medium and Mr. Small. She has a husband who is both long-suffering and understanding of her mood swings. She has bursts of wild enthusiasm about exercise and eating healthily. Fortunately they don’t tend to last long. She is also the owner of two kittens known as Sparkles and Lily. In her previous life she was an English teacher and Literacy Specialist. After teaching for ten years she left the classroom, but still consults for ACER about various Educational programmes nationwide. She is passionate about encouraging parents and children to spend time reading together. A voracious reader herself, reading for pleasure has become a somewhat guilty pleasure. She has also worked closely with Carly Dudley, the founder of Names in the Sand in setting up Whispered Support, a site devoted to supporting bereaved parents. Sarah can often be found on Twitter where she wastes time that should be spent fulfilling domestic duties. Sarah loves white chocolate and shopping for clothes far too much. Her current goal is to finish a half marathon without needing oxygen or an ambulance.
