Bleeding 8 wks after c-section, Dr said it was ok as it's old blood, but sometimes it's bright red. Only using a panty liner, not a regular pad, very light bleeding.
So sick of this bleeding, but Dr said it was ok as long as it wasnt bright red. My problem is that it is bright red maybe once a week, could this be some retained tissue? Wouldnt i have an infection by now? Or the bleeding be heavier, if it was retained tissue?? Kylie

Hi Kylie,
If the bleeding is not smelly then you need to have a check up. If it goes on for another week or two you also need to be check again. It should settle very soon. It is normal for the occasional bright blood after a caesarean.
