Hi Alex, I have low iron (a few weeks ago it was at 95 so I am waiting for results this week to see if it has continued to drop) I am 38 weeks pregnant and just wondering is a c section a better option for me than trying for a natural birth? i have had 2

Alex ...
Answer: Hi,
If you have low iron you are more prone to bleeding in childbirth so it is better to have a vaginal birth rather than a caesarean as it has a higher risk of bleeding. You need to take your prescribed iron supplements to improve your iron levels to lower your risk of complications.
Best wishes,
Alex
