How common is having a period whilst breastfeeding?
With my first child I never had a period until I stopped breastfeeding, however my second daughter is only 4 months and I am having really heavy periods. Is this something to be worried about?

Hi,
Some women do continue have periods when breast feeding. However if your periods are very heavy and go on for a long time there may be a problem that needs treatment. If you are worried please visit your GP for a check up.
