My DD, Keira Olive, finally arrived 9 days late on the 26.8.10 at 10.32am, weighing 9lbs & 3oz.
I was induced at 7pm the night before and was told to try and sleep..haha! Was in labour all night!
Initially we only stayed in hosp for 3 nighhts, but returned on day 6 in a helicoptor due to me suffering a PPH.
Iam lucky shes such an angel, she dosent sleep perfectly and there are good and bad days, its hard when your on your own, but i am so in love with my tiny princess.
Shes growing soo fast!
August was a busy month tehe!

Hey to all the august mums
My twins were born in august on the 17th via Caesar three weeks early I have a liitle girl jadawho weighed in at 5.11
Pound and Seth who is a whole 2 minutes younger weighed in at 5.8 pound I was told threw my last ultra sound before the casear to expect 6 pounders so they threw me when they were five. Hope to see more mums write on here it would be nice to chat to people about our babies development and milestones.

Congratulations on. Your twins! Ones hard enough work and you nave two. You've a lot of work ahead of you, your hands full, but your ever so lucky. Hope you are all coping well, and everything is going fantastic!

It sure is a full on with twins and a nearly three old daughter who is beyond hypo lol
What is your little princess up to jada got two teeth threw on Xmas and Seth is still gummy, does your little one sleep threw the night yet?

I admire women with twins. I don't think I could personally handle it. Your a clever woman!
Stacey got her 2 bottom teeth. She's not a grumpy teether. She's still quite happy. Just mostly unsettled a lot at night. Wakes and tosses and turns to get back to sleep. It's a bit annoying, but it must really suck teething for the little Bugger.
My son is four years old In A couple of weeks and from what I remember he didn't get teeth till heaps later. He's extremely helpful with his sister and absolutely adores her. How's your three year old go with the twins?
Staceys almost crawling. She pushing herself along on her face. So she can get a good distance from where I put her, just hasn't realized just yet that if she puts her knees up her face wouldn't cop her whole weight lol. Do yours move yet?
Stacey of course doesn't sleep through the night. Never has yet! I co-sleep though so I'm not sleep deprived!
Are you breastfeeding? I find it hard somedays breastfeeding one couldn't imagine two!

It's pretty busy around here I try to stick to a schedule but some days it's just impossible too, I do get pretty good support from friends and family.
Jada was a nightmare for teething just thinking back makes me shiver lol hope Seth is way better!
There attempting and getting very good at sitting up jada is very strong in the legs and holds onto the couch and stands up when you put her against it.she is trying to crawl she gets high up on her arms and tries to push forward don't think she has worked out what those two fat little legs are for yet apart from chewing on lol
Seth is such a laid back little man takes the world in a lot and has said his first word so proud it's mum Deja was dad so felt special this time cos it was me!
Do not want to jinx myself here at all lol but for the past couple of nights they have been sleeping threw the night only stirring at 6.00am for a bottle and back down to 7.00 they go down at 7.00pm I'm very strict with there bed time I need time to me for sanity lol
I didn't breast feed them or Deja I got sever mastitis with Deja and Seth couldn't latch at birth and jada just didn't seem satisfied with breast milk but deep down I huts felt bad if I was to breast feed one and not the other as I would be spending more time with one. Mic and I just swapped them over at bottle feeds but now I don't have to worry about that since they are holding there own bottles for the most part sometimes need to readjust there hands for them.
Have you started solids yet?

Thank you I love dejas name too people some times aren't sure how to say it they say deejar then I explain no like Deja vu lol.
Your little girl indeed does sound a lot like jada stacey sounds like she is bursting with a gorgeous personality!
I feed the twins three times a day cereal like farax in the morning with pureed fruit and pureed vegetables for lunch and tea.
There just pigs they have never ever had a problem with eating at all they no as soon as they are put in there high chairs what's coming they wiggle kick there feet and squeal lol
Before you know she will be up and crawling she sounds like a clever little girl, I put the twins down on the rug go to do something and come back there either biting each other or on opposite sides of the room too.
At the moment jada is watching Dora with big sister amazing how they get glued to the tv so young lol has Stacey had a cold yet? Jada has green boogers first time she has been Ill don't want seth to get it as bad his just snuffly.
The cold hasn't kept them up at night luckily but paranoid about them they are in there own room which is new to me as Deja slept with us from birth and....still can't get her completely out but I don't mind mic does lol I feel like something is missing if she isn't curled up in my arms. Has any of your kids suffered from reflux?
Jada does and it's flaring up again for some reason she did well with it when she started solids well least Seth never has nothing wrong lol

The twins are all good now there colds have gone but dealing with the heat now!!!
It's like as soon as it starts getting hot hey want to be all over me they literally stick to me because it's so humid!!
My cousin has a little girl who is 2 weeks older then Deja and because I'm very close to my cousin Deja always gets to play with khytel.
I thought that being twins and that sharing the womb for 37 weeks would make them have some form of bond but hey are not interested in one another at all they are obsessed with Deja!
Seth pinches jada and jada pulls seth's hair there mean to one another god help me when there older lol.
I'm so lucky when the twins are asleep there asleep no noise will wake them I vacuum there room while there asleep lol so if one cries when there wake and the other is asleep I don't have to bolt down the hall to them.
Seth is a mystery his what my cousin calls huggies baby he looks like a baby off the adds lol
He looks a bit like his daddy and a turtle hahahaha that's mean lol but he does have a mouth like a little turtle he for sure has his daddies mouth lol.
Jada has my head yep a big one my excuse for my head when me and mic start teasing each other is I have such a big brain I needed a big head to cater for it lol
I have big dark brown eyes and deja got them but the twins have have the bluest eyes they would be a throw back from my dad mics are green.
Deja is a mini me I had blonde hair as a kid and Deja has now and looks a lot like me.
Jada is more me then Seth might have to wait till he gets older to see his got such a round head lol it little compared to jadas massive noggin.
We probably will go back for another one when the twins get to pre school another boy would be nice but not fussed at all I don't think I would find out what the sex is next time round.
Jadas reflux has settled down again luckily I hate it I am laying on the rug and all I can smell is baby puke ewww lol must clean rug dam reflux makes so much washing it even stains floor boards like I gotta scrub the floor boards cos if I just mop it comes up white again when it dries lol.

We are going all good what about ypurself and your little ones?
Jada has learnt to sit up completely so proud she doesn't fall side ways any more but will slouch forward a little if her back gets to tired of holding her massive up lol. Seth still likes to sit back and take the world in his in love with his play mat it's a sesame street one and when you pull the toys they make different noises and every time he pulls one he still gets the same surprise lol
Jada is getting her knees more under herself but has found a new way of getting around when she is on her back she pushes off with her feet and slides along the floor it actually is very effective lol she loves it .
Do you no how much your daughter weighs now since there approaching the 6 month mark? I have the health nurse next monday and jada feels way heavier then Seth I worry since he left the hospital just over 4 pound I just found out too that a baby shouldn't leave a hospital weighing nothing less then 5 pound!!
He eats more than jada but is still so dainty when jada is just...fat grin

Hello August mommies.
How are you all going with your babies?
How are they progressing? With sleeping, teething, rolling?
Any of you started solids?
Its always nice to know what other babies the same age of your own is doing!

Hey! So nice to hear what all the August babies are doing. My wee girl has no teeth as yet (but then her brothers didn't get teeth til much later so maybe she won't either?), she rolls over front to back but not the other way and she is starting to sit better. She eats like a little trooper. We started baby rice and breastmilk one week before 4mths old. She is a very grumpy girl when she doesn't get fed (much like her father and brothers actually).

Kaley is a great nighttime sleeper - about 7.30-7ish, but terrible day time sleeper (but I would rather this than the other way around I suppose). She is very very clingy - does any one else have a clingy baby? It can be very irritating as there is nothing that holds her attention long enough for me to run the vacuum through, load the dishwasher etc without her starting to grizzle. Any tips on how to handle this will be greatly appreciated!!

I love hearing how babies the same age are doing. Is anyone swimming with their babies or doing exercise classes etc? Kaley and I are going to start mum and baby yoga in a couple of weeks. That should be interesting.

Don't worry sez I have one clingy one jada is a mummies and the bad thing about twins is the death stares you get when you hold one without the other wouldn't think a nearly 6 month old would get jealous and evil eye there mother I must admit it cracks me and my dp up lol
My twins go down at 7 which gives me time with Deja my almost 3 year old today though was tiring jada was a monster screamed all day and had massive rosy cheeks maybe more teeth grrr worst teether!!

That's so great stacey is up and crawling stiill waiting ob the twins to I no jada will be first Seth is amazingly lazy!!
Jada has randomly started saying Nan makes my very pleased though now I no she has been brain washing them when she minds them lol.
Seth has a new and favorite food vegemite sandwiches his got really good hand eye coordination jada still tries to feed her eyes and ears and then finally her mouth..
What colour is the cot set?
Dp would kill me if I wanted new cots we have spent that much on the twins but I am making sure I get new walkers for them dp is worried they will scratch the floor boards up I don't think they will. I'm finding now that anything will crack the twins up like I just have to look down at them and they start laughing lol dejas hissy fits were the only thing that would make jada laugh but now basically anything lol!!
Has Stacey learnt the art of throwing yet?
Seth pifs toys when his in his high chair I no he thinks it's a game when I retrieve his toy soooo annoying I don't think it's a fun game lol
I have been trying the twins on meat lately they have had chicken steamed and mince in a bol sauce I blend it up a little and they love it no problems out the other end with it thankfully

That a sweet he let ya get the cot set!!
With feeding the twins I sit with them when they eat when jada finally reaches her mouth she shoves it down a lot like what it sounds like Stacey does lol.
I have a baby feeding chart pinned up in my kitchen which has age and what they can eat and how many feeds a day since the twins are closer to six months I go by the six month chart which includes fish and chicken etc.
They usually have two meals a day breakfast and tea which is pureed vege sometimes with a little chicken blended threw I have worked out that I would roughly go threw 30 tins of baby food a week!!! So I make it and that way I no exactly what's in the good there eating not to mention cheaper!!!
I haven't really given the twins food that isn't pureed like say cooked sof vege whole Seth has no teeth at all and I worry about choking to much.
I actually had a night out last night!!
I went to a friends hens night I was home by ten though I had a massive headache I don't drink really and after three glasses of wine I got a massive headache but it still was so fun missed the kiddies too.
I have health nurse tomorrow I will post how much they weigh
