Hi guys, just wondering how long your beautiful May baby is sleeping during the day at this point?

Lol my hubby is the opposite, he wants more and it is taking a lot of convincing. My son Hunter is turning 2 at the end of October and my daughter Kayla is almost 5 months old. I am so in love with them but what a rude shock it was going from 1 to 2! I am tired 24/7

Kayla is pretty good. She is usually up for 1-1.5 hours and sleeps 2-3 hours (sometimes longer) but I have to admit that I had to do a residential stay at Tresilian to get her into this routine. This is because I wasn't recognising her tired signs and was feeding her every 2 hours thinking she was hungry.

I was like a hermit up until recently and wow was I feeling so down. I have been going out with my kids for a couple of weeks now (finally overcoming the fear of having to chase after my 2 yr old son everywhere). The key is to make sure that he has someone to play with and that means I don't have to spend all my time distracting him. Parks are great or play centres like 'Lolipops' or friends houses. I definitely don't recommend shopping centres, for me they are the worst, especially when your 2 yr old is getting tired. Also, I take him out in the morning so he gets worn out enough to have a really good day sleep and hopefully I get a nap in too smile
Hi guys. My little boy who is usually a great night sleeper (goes to bed at around 6pm and wakes at 7am) has all of a sudden been waking every 3 - 4 hours. Is anyone else experiencing this or have you in the past with other children? Any advice?
my dd is a may baby to just though is born may 1st at 3 am in the morning just made it to may. Dd goes down at 7:30 and gets up at 6:30am but she wakes at 12 then at 4 think it normal for this age smile

Hi mums, I had a 1st May baby smile He was 1 day late.
He is doing well. Lincoln is breastfed, started solids nearly 3 weeks ago & he's loving them! He's rolling everywhere, sitting up & now weighs 9kgs.
Hope all your bubs are doing well xxx

Hi,
DH & I welcomed DS on May 1st he was 10 days over due. He is my first baby & Im absolutely loving being a mummy smile

I have been experiencing the same with DS, up until a few weeks ago he slept through at night. Now he is waking at least twice, he generally just needs a little cuddle or if its early in the AM I give him a feed & he will go straight back to sleep. Im not sure why the change in sleep pattern but Im enjoying the extra cuddles smile. Is your DS settling back to sleep ok? Or awake to play?
Hi

My twin girls were born 5th May 2011 at 34 weeks. They are now 7 months just over 4 and 4.5kg. They are starting to roll but thats about it. They are still breastfed on demand, won't take a bottle, but have started solids. I still feed them 2-3 times per night. I also have a little boy who just turned 3 and a 4 year old daughter - so i have a very noisy, messy house - but love almost every moment smile

Hey there,

Sorry for the super late reply! I havent had a chance to get on this forum for some time! My DS settled down after just a few weeks after my last post in October. It all of a sudden just stopped. When I would go into him, he would absolutely be ready to play so I would keep the lights off, stroke his forehead to comfort him and let him know I was there and then leave him. He would generally chatter away for 20 minutes until he fell back to sleep. Then, as I said, it just all of a sudden stopped. In saying that though, since Christmas eve he has been waking during the night, but this time I know why! His first tooth is on it's way! I can see it sitting just under the gum about to cut through. Has your beautiful boy returned to his normal sleep pattern? I'm a first time mum too so it's all learning for me!
