September 2011 Babies Rss

Hi all, just catching up.

Hope everyone and their bubs are well. My little one is nearly 4months now. She is rolling front to back and back to font really well. She has great neck and head control and is still a really easy bub. She is sleeping through most nights and will usually sleep 12hrs with one feed. So bed at 8.30pm and will sleep till 8.30am with a feed usually around 4am. Some nights she skips the feed all together.

Unfortunately i think she is going to be an early teether. My DD1 didn't get teeth till 11months. But DD2 has a tooth appearing already. Can see the white and feel the bump but hasn't cut through the gum yet so hopefully will stay under for a while longer. But even with that she is such a happy girl, always smiling and laughing. wub

Breast feeding is going great still and I have given her a bottle of EBM a few times now to get her used to it as DP has to look after her for a few hours while I go and see Mary Poppins (YAY!!). It will be the first time I've left her for more than 1hr. Fingers crossed all goes smoothly.

Hope everyone and their bubs are doing well.

Hi smile
My first baby, Jaxon was born 30th September, 2 days overdue. He weighed exactly 7lb and was 50cm long. Awesome labour about as good as I think a labour can get, just 4 hours and no tearing or stitches! He was born with HEAPS of hair! Still get lots of comments about it now. He will be 16 weeks tomorrow, he sleeps thru the night usually from 8pm to 6.30am, hes not rolling over but can get onto his side. And hes teething! Breastfeeding wasnt a good thing for me and only lasted 3 weeks but I'm happy with my decision to bottle feed. Hes such an awesome baby, never cries and is always smiling! Yet to get a laugh out of him tho.

Hope everyones babies are doing good and growing heaps!

I am a bit late with this thread but congratulations to you all with your September bubba's.

My little boy Gabriel was born on the 16th September. He was 11 days late.
After a 45 hour labor he arrived by emergency C Section because he was posterior and failed to progress. From the start o early labor to the birth we had been going 45 hours!
He was 8 lb 1 and 54 cm.

Look forward to chatting wink

My baby girl Lily arrived on the 20th September at 5:38am after 22 hour labour weighing in at 8pound 1/2 ounce.
She has only just started sleeping through the night for the past two weeks. She weighed in at 6.4kgs at 4 months old when we went for her needles. She is rolling over, has excellent neck control and is getting up on her hands and knees at times
We have had a lot of trouble with feeding. She is now on her 5th formula which is now a soy based formula as she is showing obvious signs and symptoms of a dairy allergy. She has also got signs of both acid reflux and IBS =( day sleeps are 20 minute cat naps but thank goodness for full night sleep =)
She has also got her first tooth coming through its actually a side tooth so it looks like cross cutting which is causing alot of her irritability of late
Despite all this stuff, she is doing well and her big brother (he is 2 1/2) absolutely dotes on her its so beautiful bond they share =)
Hope all your babies are doing well would love to hear some more about how your september bubs are going
xx
So jealous of all you ladies with the sleeping through... My little lady (23-9-2011) has had reflux and colic so we are only just getting the day sleeps sorted, which I think may be flowing on to the night getting better. My first two were such good sleepers.... Unfortunately my husband and I separated and I don't know if the stress of it all has affected my bubs?
Also due to reflux, tummy time is pretty much non-existent (due to profuse vomitting) so she can scooch around on her back well, but doesn't like rolling on her tummy. Appreciates an upright position.
Hope all the rest of the bubs are doing well.

Hi ladies. How is everyone going? Hi Katgibbons. Congrats on your little boy. You must be one very busy lady with 4 littlies.

Just wanting to know how everyones bubs are doing? My DD2 is just over 5 months. She is still a dream smile. The thing I wanted to know was she is trying so hard to crawl!! She is so little and I really don't want her to crawl yet, I just want her to stay a baby for a little longer and not grow up so fast sad. I know there is nothing I can do to stop her but just wandering if anyone elses bubs are crawling. She gets around army style still but is getting up onto her knees (she is so strong). My DD1 didn't crawl till 9/10months.

She is also cutting her first tooth. (Again so much earlier than DD1 who was 10/11mths).

We are going to start solids in the next few weeks (should be fun) and going to try baby led weaning but not too strictly.

Love to hear how everyone else is going? smile

Hi Mum2Em&Madi
Thank you and Yes I am very busy but loveing every minute smile
My little boy is army style aswell and is lifting his knees up I know it won't be long till he's up and running, they grow up so fast
hi all, its great to be able to read others experiences.. being a first time mum I have nothing to compare to... DS was born 9/9/11 and he has been strong from the get go. he is rolling both ways very well and yep, trying really hard to get onto hands and knees. No teeth yet though...
he has always been a better sleeper at night and we are only just getting better sleeping during the day. most days he will have 3 naps, sometimes 2. its also taken this long to start self settling!! lately he's been putting himself within 10-15 mins which is a massive improvement becuase in the early days, it could take up to 1 hr. NOw that he is rolling, I'm finding him sleeping on his belly. cute but worrying at the same time.. :/ One thing I would like to ask about is regarding spewing...DS is a big spewer! he will have a number of big spews after every feed. he was BF for 4 months and I then started formula b/s of mastitis and him not putting on enough weight. the spews reduced slightly with the commencement of formula (NAN HA) but its still worrying. I have bought it up at every Drs appt, check up, clinic and nurse visit and am continually told the same thing - baby's spew. we;ve started solids and most days will have 3 meals. at his 6th month check doc advised me to give food before bottle ( i know other mums have been advised bottle then food) doc said it would settle the reflux... my mothers group friends witnessed an afternoon of vomits and were surprised at how much he spews. He is an extremely smiley and happy baby and at no time looks distressed. its just abit concerning. considering seeking another opinion.. any advice would be much appreciated and thanks for reading smile Hope all mums and bubs are going well x
Hello again.

Well it's been a few weeks of hands and knees but still not crawling yet (thankfully lol). She just has to get her hands to move forward as the knees are ready to go. smile

She had also cut through her first 2 bottom teeth over the weekend so should be interesting times ahead now with the breastfeeding. Hoping for not too many ouchies!!.

Have started solids but only occasionally. I'm doing BLW and she loves it. She had had pear, banana and broccoli. She has had one or 2 gags but manages to bring it up and have another go. She loves making a mess and food goes everywhere but so much fun. It means I can eat my dinner while she is happily munching on some food as I don't have to feed her. Really recommend it. smile

Also she is a tummy sleeper too, I swear she just wants me to have a heart attack. Often I go in and she is on her tummy face down smooshed into the mattress. Not much that you can really do when they start rolling and moving. She seems happy and stays asleep, but I really hate it.

Sorry I have no advice for you annmarie regarding spewing. Neither of my girls have been spewer. Hopefully someone will be able to give you some advice. But I guess if he is not upset when he is spewing that is a good thing. Another opinion couldn't hurt, good luck.

HI! Have been navigating this site and came across this thread and was thrilled I could add a post.
Our first baby was born on 30th Septemeber 2011. She was a week early so was meant to be an October baby but glad she arrived when she did.

She is now 6 months, not sleeping through, still in a bassinet in our room (although about to make the move out! ahhh!!), rolls over when she can be bothered, eats solids like she hasn't been fed for days and is about to have her fist plane ride to South Africa to meet the Grandparents and cousins!

Hope to get to know other September Mums and bubs.
smile
