September 2011 Babies Rss

HI! Have been navigating this site and came across this thread and was thrilled I could add a post.
Our first baby was born on 30th Septemeber 2011. She was a week early so was meant to be an October baby but glad she arrived when she did.

She is now 6 months, not sleeping through, still in a bassinet in our room (although about to make the move out! ahhh!!), rolls over when she can be bothered, eats solids like she hasn't been fed for days and is about to have her fist plane ride to South Africa to meet the Grandparents and cousins!

Hope to get to know other September Mums and bubs.
smile

Hi mum2hallie,

I've only recently moved DD2 out of the bassinet. She is still waking up once most nights but some bad nights it can be much more now that she is teething.

When do you fly to South Africa? That must be exciting for you,is it your family or your DH/DP's?

Hello,

I am a first time mummy to Georgia Beth she was born on the 26th of September at 6:26am 7lb 7oz one day before her due date. I have a drug free labour at home for 5 hours and got to the hospital 10 minutes before she was born. smile I love my little family grin

HI,
We fly in about a month now. Getting a bit nervous! I might see what experiences others have had and put a post on the forum. I don't know what to pack for the plane ride for her to eat...I guess BFeeding is just the easiest!

Do you know if there's a FB page for September Mums? Maybe we could start one up so we can keep in touch and share experiences with our bubs?
Thanks anyway Mum2Em&Madi. we ended up going to another GP and getting another opinion. We've changed formula now to the Novolac reflux and he has improved significantly. he's still a spewer but nowhere near as much. so impressed and happy new Doc actually listened to me.

Otherwise DS is growing in leaps and bounds. He has started crawling already - was 7m and a couple of days. he's mastered it now and is scooting around the house. No teeth yet and I really dont think they'll come anytime soon. Im pretty sure he is not showing any signs of teething at all!

he's a great sleeper during the night, usually waking maybe twice and is usually able to resettle. sometimes I go and pop his dummy back in. During the day Ds is a better sleeper in the morning. which i think is strange given he has just had a full nights sleep. During the day he usually has 2 sleeps, sometimes 3. its only been recently (maybe 6 weeks) that he's learnt to settle himself.

Im also going back to work soon, in July so not looking forward to leaving him sad need to sort out what I'll be doing as far as day care and baby sitting.

A facebook group sounds good. I usually check that more often than this sight and chatting, sharing, and getting advice more often would be great smile
Hi ladies,

Good to hear that everyone is going well with their bubs.

My little man will be 7 months on Monday and is motoring along nicely. He is a big boy (12.5kg) and loves his food. I am still breastfeeding him and he is munching back the solids!

He isn't crawling yet and I think that he will be a little way off yet (got a lot of weight to carry around!) but he has 3 teeth with his 4th coming through at the moment. I am lucky and he has teethed really well smile

I started working on getting him to self settle early on and it has really paid off. He sleeps from 7am to 7pm and I am LOVING it!!

I'd definitely be keen to join a FB group.

hey.
DS is 7.5months now.
he started crawling on easter weekend and is now pullimg himself up on things. and is into everything.
hes loving his solids and is 8.82kg.
i would def join a fb group!
I'm attempting to create apage for us on FB! Will let you know what it is called then we can get to know each other! smile
Hello lovely ladies

Hope everyone has been well. DD2 has just made some major acheivments in the last 2 weeks. She has been commando crawling for ages but has started proper crawling. SInce then the is now getting herself up almost into sitting position, just needs to move her hand back a bit more to sit right up, and is starting to pull herself up onto low furniture (can't quiet reach the couch).

She is loving her solids, although it does make her a tad constipated even though she only eats mostly fruit and veg. We have done a combination of puree and BLW(finger food). It has worked great. The other night she was eating pasta with beef, pumpkin. I just shredded the beef into little flakes and it stuck to the pasta with the pumpkin and she loved it. So much better that DD1 ever was. smile
