September 2011 Babies Rss

hey all. Its been a while since I checked in on here... i actually stopped receiving email notifications, which used to be a great prompt for me to get on, (can we still rely on baby brain?lol) so DS will be 11 months old on the 9th and has only just cut his first tooth. we've had a few sleepless nights with teething and on those nights I bring him in to sleep with me. he's a pro at crawling and gets around so quick. he can stand on his own really well and trying to encourage him to take steps but he's not interested.. lol He has a great appetite, which Im happy abbout because Im not sure what I'd do if he was a fussy eater....he's having 3 decent sized meals per day plus snack incl yogurt, buscuit, fruit, cheese etc. He'slso still having 4 bottles. but I really have to cut one out..
he usually wakes at 7, has a bottle.
b/f at 8.30 which is weetbix and raffertys porraige
sleep 10am -11.30
bottle when wakes
lunch at 12.30 - meat/vegies and fruit
sleep 2.30/3pm
bottle 4pm
dinner 5.30/6pm more vegies
bottle 7pm

another thing I need to do is start giving food b4 bottle. hard to make changes and stick to them cos Ive gone back to work and need to rely on and trust other people (mother and MIL) will follow routine.
So bubs will be turning one soon... gees the time has gone quick!!! what is everyone doing to celebrate bubs bdays?
Hi!

Annmarie, I've just swapped my girl over to formula for her day feeds. Milk before bed is still bf. She has 3 bottles a day as her two day ones (12 and 3) are usually only half feeds. I swapped her to food first about amonth ago, as she wasn't keeping up the weight. Now she's growing well and loves having the food first, except at breakfast where she usally wants her bottle first.

I found she swapped over really easily and didn't seem at all bothered by the change. Its a daunting change but its worth the effort.

My girl will be 1 on 20th sept. looking forward to doing the party! thinking about the cake and a possible theme. Leaning towards it being pink and purple or jungle theme. So many choices!!

We are thinking of having family and just a few close friends. nothing to over the top but still lots of fun!
How are all the birthday babies going? Happy birthday to all that have turned 1 already smile

My Dd2 is going to be 1 on the 21st. She has just started walking and trying to keep up with her big sister. smile
We are going to have a small party for her at the local park with just close family and a few friends. Nothing big and i'm going to make her a lady bug cake. Can't believe i'm planning her 1st birthday already sad where did the time go.

Hope everyone is well, love to hear what everyone is doing for their little ones birthdays smile

How exciting she is walking! We aren't even close to that, only standing pulling himself up to stand over the last couple of weeks but the big boofa has 14kg to try lift smile

He is one on the 23rd. We are going to have a party a week early while I am down with family. It will just be a pcinic in the park with family and a couple of friends. No idea what sort of cake I am going to make yet though! On his actual birthday we will probably just do something small.

I can't believe that they are turning one already. Time has definitely flown! Another 20 weeks and I'll have a new bub to add to the mix!

Hey all
Well my little man turned one on the 6th, time shore does fly. He goes backwards really fast looks a bit like a crab but hasnt figured out how to go forward he may not bother as he's already trying to pull himself up on couches n can stand with the help of us supporting him smile. We are having a party with close friends and family plus doing a naming ceremony. Anyway i have a photo to share, we got a cake smash done about a week ago as u will see in the photo he had some fun.

Hi all. smile
It's been a while but just wanting to know what all the bubs are up to. I can't remember much from when DD1 was this age and i'm curious as to how much your littlies are talking. DD2 doesn't talk much and i'm sure DD1 was talking more by this age. She knows what things are but just won't say the word. She can say mum, dad, nan and ta. Sometimes she tries to say hi and bye.

What are all your bubs up to. DD2 is still great. She is teething at the moment getting her 4 molars (yuk!) but still sleeping through the night since I night weaned at 12mnths. She is still having one BF at night before bed and that's it now, she weaned herself of her morning feed while we were on holidays.

Love to hear from you all smile

My girl is chatterbox!! Saying all sorts of things and is happy to try new words if you ask her! She's also just cut her 4th molar - not much of an issue other than high temps - thankfully!! Bub only has one milk feed for bed now too and just has some full cream milk with breakfast!

She's now got tonsilitis! which is causing some issues - she's on antibiotics and hopefully the pain and miserableness will end soon.

I've noticed that my sister's second child doesn't talk as much as the first one at this age. I've actually had a few conversations with mums just lately about this very topic - we all agreed that the second child tends to not talk as much as quickly as the first... probably because the first one does it for them!!!

Our babies grow up so quick!!! I've also got another one on the way!! Due in June 2013 so getting ready to do it all again!!
