Babies from the "Due November 2011" thread Rss

Hi all

Ella-Rose had her fist taste of real food today. What a milestone. I tried her on Watties, Pumpkin and Sweetcorn. She ate two teaspoons full. I originally heated one but it was too hot so I added another one and mixed them together to make it the right temp.

She has been watching us eat for about 2 weeks and will suck on an ice block if allowed. She did great I was expecting a funny look on her face or for her to spit it out but no she just kinda sucked it down. In fact she grabbed a hold of her bib and tried to suck off the small amount that I wiped off from around her mouth.

Another milestone reached.
hey all smile

Amelia is getting so big and cheeky. she gets her 4 month needles on tuesday (where has the time gone).

the specialist said tests came back positive on her legs and that hopefully she will grow out of it, she's still teething, all her teeth aer going up and down and shes had this flemmy throat (she has chocked and gone purple in the lips 4 times already but drs say she will always be able to bring it up cause its only in her throat. but very scary when it happens.

she loves the jolly jumper, sits in there for ages without crying. shes been very upset and unsettled lately which i think is because i've been massively stressed and because we've been on holiday so not used to the other surroundings.

she has also started tasting and loving foods. she seems to love sour things like lemons, she loves lemon juice, she likes marinated chicken but doesnt like tomato sauce. we just get a little of the juice on our fingers and put it on her tongue. she also like tiny teddy's and hates sour worms smile little DS loves giving her differnt foods (last night giving her mashed potato) but seems to know not to give her any food bits. im very shocked but impressed but still wont let him feed her without me watching.

anyway i look forward to hearing how the other bubs are going smile

Hello ladies grin Took our big man Kanyan to get his 4mth needles last week and he now weighs 9.9kg and its off there percentile chart :S
My god the expressions on peoples faces is pricless. People think he looks 6mths old. He would weigh more but thanks to the jumperoo he isnt gaining as much. Atm its 600g a fortnight which is better then 700g a fort and 9 bottles a day. Lately he is having 6 bottles and 1 feed a day.

My daughter is enjoying the experience too and acting quite the big sister. Going to put him on the reserves list at my daughters childcare so i can look for work soon. Not looking forward to it as i like staying home. At the moment i am thinking of maybe a couple of days during the week then maybe part time. With the prices of childcare i cant see how mums go back to work! With my daughter in full time it was three quarters of my pay to childcare and its going to be 2 soon so i am not going to enjoy how much i will spend then!

Cant believe our son will be 5 months old soon.. my god ladies hasnt it flown! I cant believe it soon we wont be sterilizing bottles and they will be feeding more.
And at this stage my hair is still falling out heaps and i still have my linea nigra. My iced coffee craving is also stating to settle.. THANK GOD!! My weight was getting out of control. I still havnt done a follow up on my diabetes test but i dont think i have it as i dont have the symptoms for it.

We are still thinking of trying to concieve again around August when Kanyan is 10mth old but its still a maybe at this stage!

Anyhow I hope you ladies keep writing your updates on your bubbas as i enjoy reading them! Hope you are all keeping well grin Jaimee

Hey silver nailpolish has your hubby finally met your lovely daughter Mya yet? I would love to hear how it went!

sorry computer stuffing up

repeat post

Wow 9.9kg, wat a chubba bubba. I took Amelia for her 4 month needles today and weighed her, shes 7.76kg so the weight is only slowly being put on now. (i think she has only gained 400g in the last 3 weeks).

I too was wondering about silver.

i had a thought the other day and said to myslef 'aww i want a baby' but we probably wont start for number 3 until Amelia is just over 1 (make them 2 years apart) we would love a baby in January/Febraury but its only thoughts at the moment. I just want to enjoy the time i have with Amelia now before she gets too independant.

well thats my cue, she wants cuddles smile catch u all later

Yea Manda he is quite the big fella and with a bad back its going to be an interesting journey with a big baby. Another reason why i wanna wait so i dont have two babies on my hip. I like the gap i have between my 2 but i do wonder what its like with the smaller gap. I just miss it all. I cant believe how fast time is going!!
Kanyan the shocker only had 4 bottles today! Very strange for him!

I still find myself reading the pregnancy forum. I cant help myself i miss being pregnant sooooo much!

cheeky - i was like that after i had my first, he was so perfect, everything was so perfect espicially the pregnancy and birth then to have a perfectly behaved baby i couldnt wait to have another but Amelias pregnancy was so different, i was sick, back pain ect it was horrible so now im missing the new born just sleep and just lay their and so cuddly. Amelia is too into things now she just wiggles around(but still a very good baby.

I think if i have a boy next time i'll miss being pregnant (my family seems to have easy pregnancy with boys and is extremely sick and troublesome with girls) but if its a girl i'd seriously consider going for 4th and final (i've always wanted 3 kids but DH always wanted 4 so we decided to see how we go with 3)

I loved the 2.5 year age gap between my kids, it was prefect timing cause as soon as DD was born DS was completely out of nappies and he was already at an independant stage and loves to learn. Im so proud of both my kids and find myself non-stop cuddling them everyday, i love being a mum and consider myself so so lucky to have been able to have 2 beautiful kids (but ask me again when they hit the teens, i have a sneaky suspicion Amelia is going to be trouble

Hi all, it was great to see some posts and wow your babies are growing amazingly.

Ella-Rose is now just over 6kg, she can now roll-over. She starting rolling just last week and can go both ways but needs to learn to move her arm as it gets stuck.

She was next to a baby that was due on the same day as her and was the same length but the other baby weighed twice as much. It made me realize just how fine featured she is. She is starting to play with her feet lifting them up so she can see them and touch them. In the bath she kicked her feet and made a great splash.

I have not given her anymore food as she ended up getting sick and losing weight (probably not related to the food) but I need her to concentrate on drinking lots of milk to regain the weight.

She has a hearing test tomorrow, and I must make another jabs booking. I forgot the last one but as she was sick she would not have been able to have it anyway.

I look forward to hearing about how things are going for you all.
It's official, Amelia isnt a baby anymore sad , yesterday she rolled from her belly to her back then (with alot of encouragement) she rolled back to her stomach.

she had her needles on wednesday (weighed 7.76kg), then her 4 month check up (bit late due to the holiday we went on) she weighed 7.96kg. her length and weight measurements were on bigger then 97% of kids her age but her head circumference was on the 50% range, but she looks all proportionate.

I cant believe how much she has grown and her teeth are really starting to annoy her, we've been giving her ice blocks to numb her mouth and that seems to be the only time she's not annoyed by them. Bonjella/teething gel and panadol wont work and she wont take nurofin, so its our only option sad anyone got anyother suggestions i can use cause ice blocks are very sticky so shes having tons of baths which she loves but i find it boring leaning over the bath all day.

Well im off again, hope everyone is doing fine and writes on here soon

Hey Manda, when my daughter was teething i just threw a damp face washer in the fridge for a little bit till cold and my daughter would suck the water out of it. It worked wonders for us! Maybe give that a go.
