My son Tynan is in size 0 clothes at 5months is that normal? Rss

hi I'm Jess I'm a very young mum to a very handsome little boy called Tynan who is 5 months old old i was just wondering about the size of clothing my son is in cause he is in 0 clothes and it says on the packaging and tags that size 0 is 12 months and up
All kids are different. My youngest DD is 19 months and in size 0 tops and 00 pants as she is little. My other two children were in 1 or 1.5 by that stage. I also know children who were in size 2 when they were 1. As long as your sons height and weight are in proportion he is fine.
My stepson has been wearing size 0 since he was about 5 months...he still fit some 00, but was mostly in 0. He is now nearly 7 months and starting to outgrow some of his 0s.

He is perfectly in proportion, but both his parents are quite tall, so he is just a long, solid little boy.

I wouldn't worry smile But it's a hassle buying new clothes constantly eh
I don't think size 0 is usually for 12 months and up- more like 9-12 months. He's probably on the bigger end of the scale but as long as he's healthy I wouldn't worry smile

my twins are still in 0's and some of their shorts and skirts are still 00's....they are 19mths old and just still small. I wouldnt worry as long as hes healthy and developing well...if your stll concerned talk to ur chn or gp.
Thanks for all the replies that puts my mind at ease and the doctor says he is all healthy and that he's advanced for his age even though he was a premmie and it does get expensive over time considering his clothes are $40+per item
I know how you feel. My son is 3 1/2 months and he is already in 0 for most things. He didn't even get to wear some of his smaller clothes!
Don't worry about the sizes at all! My 9 month old has been wearing 1s and 2s for a couple of months. Thank goodness he's slowed down his weight gain, I hear you on how expensive it is!

You can buy nice things for 1/3 of that price at target/k-mart/big w. Or you can even get second hand things on e-bay.

My DD1 is 5 1/2 months & has been in 0 clothes for a few weeks!!! She was only 3.76kgs born but is now 11.3kgs & 68cms, She is a big bubba but my GP & BHN arent worried.. Im just over strangers commenting on how tall & chubby she is!!! I had a little old lady tell me the other day that I need to put her on a diet (?!?!?!) or at least cut her formula down!!! Kind of stuffed her when I told her she was only BF (although now she is on some solid food & Reflux formula as she has silent reflux!!) I wouldnt worry about it, My BHN has noticed DD1 is starting to slow down & Im sure your Bub will do the same!! grin

Holy cow!!!!!! 11.3 kg's at not even 6 months??!! That is one big healthy bubba! wink

DD is 23 months old and only 11 kilos, much taller than that though.

I know!!! grin I still get quite worried when I see other bubs her age, But the GP & BHN have reassured me, She was only BF until about a week ago (& only 4 or 5 hourly on demand) & funnily enough she has just been diagnosed with silent reflux so is now on Formula & a little bit of solid food & her weight gain is slowing down... But considering her weight she doesnt look to chubby, She has a couple of wee rolls but she is really long too, Im just hoping she slows up a bit soon lol
I had 2 little bub's and to "healthy" bud's. My 2 little bub's were always a size or 2 behinde other kids and my other 2 were always a size ahead till around the time they became mobile. So they were both size 0 around 6 months but stayed in size 0 and 1 for quite a while till around 2 years...

Once children start moving the growth slows down a bit.

I always found my big bubs coped better when they were sick, they had a bit of weight to live off! You could always see the weight my 2 little bub's lost, they were scrawny!
my almost 3mth old dd2 is in size 00 clothes and i'm hoping she stays in these for a little longer than she was in the smaller sizes!! i've been getting clothes from a friend, plus she got quite a few clothes for xmas. she was only 2.9kg and 2weeks early when born, but she's more than making up for it now and is starting to go through another growth spurt which means more food and probably more clothes too!!
