Babies that were born July 2011 Rss

My ds was born on the 27th July. So just gone 5 months.

When he was about 4 months 1 week he rolled for the first time. Back to belly, to the right. In the last few days and has rolled to the left. Although he still doesn't roll from belly to back which is rather frustrating for both him and I!! Cuz I am forever rolling him back over cuz he gets the sh!ts.

He has just started sitting up on his own, not for too long though, he is a very wriggly little worm so he just bobbles all over the joint and falls over.

He is also VERY aware of what and where my boobs are! When I am getting ready to feed him, I will have him sitting on my lap while I undo my bra and he stares at them and gets far too excited and most times will launch himself and latch on!! He is very funny!

No teeth yet, although I'm sure he is teething cuz he has just been putrid the last few days!

What are your babies up to?
My daughter was born on the 29th July. She is at the same stage as your son, rolling from back to belly - sometimes she will roll belly to back as well but that seems to be when she is a lil whingy. Feeding time is the same, she knows when I put her bib on its feed time cos she will stop crying and look out for the bottle. (Unfortunately I had to move to bottle feeding after some serious body dilemmas) No teeth either but she is dribbling lots and keeps sucking her fingers, guessing there are some teeth coming cos thats how my other two were when they got their first teeth.
She tries to sit up in the carseat as well as in the pram, only tonight she sat by herself for a few seconds before she just started to flop. So funny to see her doing all this so soon, all I can say is get ready cos in no time they will be sitting up then crawling will follow lol.
Have you found that your baby will watch you eat and wants to try grab your food? I think my daughter is ready to start solids, she tries to grab at my hands if im holding food or my fork.
Oh yeah he also tries to sit up in the car seat, pram, rocker and also from the floor. If he is lying on his back he does like a sit up.

Ds has been drooling since he was like 1.5 months! It's so gross. Lol I think now it's not as bad, but seriously EVERYTHING goes into his mouth! And has done for a few months now.

He follows everything that I have. Food, drink, toys, rubbish, everything haha. And he tries to eat everything I have. If I have him sitting on my hip and something is in that hand, it's also in his mouth. The other day I went to the shops and was holding a blanket cuz I was putting him in a trolley and was just munging on the blanket. This morning I was holding a cold can of drink (unopened) and he was getting into that. I end up with slobber over everything.

I haven't started him on solids yet and I'm not going to until he is 6 months, so not long now and I'm a bit excited for it.

Its def exciting knowing that they are ready for solids soon. I am waiting for the 6mnth mark too, but my sis was like - she's ready to eat cos of what she was doing sticking stuff in her mouth and watching us eat but what stuck with me was that their bowels arent developed enough til 6mnths so wouldnt want them to have poo troubles. BTW if u havent heard or got any, I bought some dribble bibs for my other daughter when she was at this age - they are funky and look better than a bib and def help with not having to change their top all the time check out where I bought mine from (Australia) www.byronbibs.com.au
if ur not in Australia u can get some off ebay but they arent as good.

Yeah I am waiting for the 6 months regardless of if he thinks his ready or not! Lol when he was about 3.5 months, I got called lazy because I wasn't feeding him yet! Umm how's about eff the eff off and let me look after my own baby! This coming from someone who fed their daughter at 3 months cuz 'she was ready'.

Cool I will have a look at those bibs. I think I have heard of them before, are they the ones that like soak up all the drool and dry real quick or something?
