Has been abit of an up & down first week with our little miss some nights sleeps great others lucky to get a few hours sleep total. But loving every minute of being a new mum smile.

Hi Erin,
Congratulations on the arrival of your little girl smile

My little man arrived on the 8th Jan 2012 his name is Noah Thomas he was 9lb 7oz.. I also have 3 other DS's aged 7, 4, & 2..

So far he is feeding really well but not sleeping much through the night otherwise he is great! The only issue we had was that he broke his arm when he was born they think that it should heal very quickly. We have an appt Wed with the ortho doctors to see how it is going Fx..

I look forward to chatting to other mums with bubs born in Jan grin

Congratulations Cheryl on your little girl Crystal grin I admire you for having 8 children I would love to have 6 but I think we will have to settle for 4.. How did your labour go? I was happy with mine only being 4 1/2 hrs and a water birth too..

Noah had his check up today with the orthopaedic doctor which went really well. They tell me his arm is healed and he doesn't have to wear a bandage anymore smile He is going to take a while to start using his arm properly and I'm a little hesitant to move it around too much. It is amazing how quickly babies heal I still can't believe it has only taken 10days.

Well milk has definitely arrived lol.. Noah is getting a little drowned with all the milk hopefully it settles soon. How is everyone else travelling??

Hi ladies,
We welcomed bub #3 William on Jan 5th smile we got to the birth centre at 11.20pm & he arrived in the shower at 12.10am! Our girls (6&3) love their little brother so much. All up a 3 hour labour & we were home later that evening too. He's feeding every 3-4hrs & sleeping all the time. Hubby's still on leave so I'm a bit worried on how I'll cope with all three on my own next week!! Eeeek :/

Hi everyone,
looks like we have all started getting on here again smile. Cheryl wow 8 children admire you for being able to cope with that I think 3 might be our limit but then will just take it as it comes enjoy this precious baby girl!
Kelbel3 aw your poor little man but is so amazing how quickly their bodies heal even when they scratch themselves looks so sore & nasty but next time you look there is nothing there! Amazing grin. Glad the appointment went well with the doctor and has completly healed.
Sofiesarasmama congratulations on the arrival of your little man & hope everything is going well.
So to give you some more details Isabella Lee Strangio was born 4/01/2012 at 2.27pm weighing 6"5 or 2.87kg, 35cm h/c, 48cm long.
I was induced at 37weeks after complications with my DS and causing to be stillborn, waters broken at 12:30 & she arrived not even 2hrs later ....no time for the epidural to kick in was lucky to get the test dose in me!Think I now know when it come to pain relief I should just not bother with DS I missed out on epi because we had to wait on blood test coming back before could get it administered well was too late and pretty much missed out on everything. This time was putting my hand up for an epidural early making sure nothing was going to stop from getting pain relief well I ended up going through all labour without any medication instead goes to show what we can survive.

So little miss still thinks night time is when she should be awake & while feeds quite well just can't get her to settle down seems asleep but the moment go to put her in her bassinett she's wide awake ....even if she's yawning her lil head off! With her being so small she wasn't putting on much weight and the midwives were abit concerned about her so had to have extra checks done was given the all clear on tuesday she had put on 130g in 4days so they were happy with that; hav to give her some expressed milk via the bottle because she falls asleep while feeding and she doesn't have the energy to get all the feed she needs. Hoping she really starts to take off soon will be nice when all her all clothes aren't swimming on her.
Anyway enough from me sorry for the long post sad & hope you are all doing well with your little ones & getting through this early stages and surviving through the sleep deprivation!

Erin

Hi ladies, I'm pleased to announce the arrival of dd2 Talia elizabeth on 18th at 8:22 pm, weighing 3.6 kg, came into hospital at 7pm an hour and a bit later here she is, no time for any pain relief! But well worth it! Hope everyone else is recovering well and enjoying new bubs xxx
Hi All,
I am new to this, but I am Michelle.
We welcome the safe arrival of our son Denzel (second child) also have a daughter Paige whom is turning 3 in Feb.
Congratulations to Erin for the arrival of Isabella, Kelbel3 for the arrival of Noah ( I am so glad his arm has healed well), Cheryl and the arrival of Crystal (wow 8 children), Sofiesarasmama and arrival of William and Zoea86 and the arrival of Talia.

Details of Denzel :
3rd January
1.20 born, arrived at hospital 10.30am.
3490 7pds 11oz, 50 cm length.
He was beautiful.
Great thing, husband was entertaining our 2 year old, whilst I went thru labour on my own with midwife as our family members were still away, and came into the room and turned pram against the wall so 2 year old couldn't see everything, it was a great moment when Denzel was born we showed Paige and she had the biggest smile and a tear in the eye she was sooo happy.

Past two weeks have been great, Denzel has settled in well, sleeps for 3-4 hours at a time, hates having anything in his nappy, but loves the bath, he is just so placid and lovely.

More challenging has been our almost 3 year old, whom has taken to naughty behaviour, running off, playing with things we say no too and doing everything around the house we have said no to in past, I am hoping its attention seeking but we very little sleep my frustration levels reach an all time low by the end of the night, any one have advice here, looks like a few of you lovely ladies might know what I mean or have tips.

Look forward to keeping in touch.

Hi hope all the new mummies are doing well with their bubs! William is 20 days old already seems like yesterday I was pregnant & desperate to meet him! He really is a perfect baby, sleeping & feeding really well. I guess I couldn't be luckier as I have two girls & am suffering from a kidney stone which has left me out of action. Otherwise I'm enjoying newborn snuggles & resting lots. How are you all recovering post birth?? I feel good, after the 1st week my body felt ok but now I'm not so sore. My 1st degree tear is still healing & boobs have adjusted to feeding again. I got weighed when we saw the mw last week I'm now 64kg. I was 50kg when I fell pregnant with him & 71kg at 39wks!!

HI ladies
well i had little baby William on the 17.01.2012.. William was 9pounds 4 ounces and he is absolutely adorable.. William is number 6 for me and at the moment im feeling very tired. He is being a very good boy so no problems so far. cant wait to swap stories of our little ones and catch up with the jan mums to be since we have nearly all delivered our bubs. nikki
Our little man Madden was born on the 10th of jan at 9.53am weighing a suprising 9pounds 7 ounces! - i love being his mum ( first time mum too) and cant wait to have another grin hahaha
Hi,

Congrats to everyone who has had their baby.

How is everyone going?

I guess things are so quiet in here because we are all so busy with our newborns.

I am surprised with each of our children how much I fall in love with them, babies are such amazing things and we have been so blessed to have 8 beautiful children.

I finally managed to find something gorgeous to buy for Crystal although it wont fit her till at least september (size 0) 2 beautiful dresses with ruffle pants, I would have loved to get some in a 000 (so she could wear one to my bil's wedding in March) but they didn't make them that small.

hi ladies!
my little girl Mia was born on 31/1/2012 on her due date! she weighed 9lbs exactly and 49cm in length and is beautiful!
shes my baby number 2 (have a 2 yr old little girl also).

birth went really well! 5 hrs active labour, 40 mins pushing - no tears yay! went from 6cm dialated to fully in 10 mins after hoping in the pool! did all natural this time no drugs so im very proud of myself!

mia is just amazing, her sister absolutley adores her, shes doing so well last night only woke twice for a feed! she sleeping really well just doesnt like it on her back in the bassinette at the moment so at night shes been sleeping on me (not really a fan of it but for now it works)

breast feeding going alot better than with DD1, still bit sore latching her on and ,milk has come in so boobs are huge and sore! feeling really well post birth just tired!
Hi Ladies,

Congratulations to all the new mums grin

Well it has been an interesting couple of weeks for us.. Noah is 4wks old tomorrow how quickly time goes by.. I had a terrible bout of mastitis last wk and ended up on antibiotics.. It crept up on me very quickly I didn't even realise I had a blockage. The telling sign was a temp of 39 and feeling like I had the flu sad But we survived and now seem to be facing the challenge of having too much milk. Noah the last 2 nights has projectile vomited all over me. I think he might have a little reflux that or just getting too much milk. We have an appointment with the nurse tomorrow so I will run it past her and try to get some information of what to do..

Hope everyone is going well and getting enough rest smile

Hope everyone is going ok with their new bubba's, can't believe my wee girl is 3 weeks old already!

Our wee princess arrived 12 days late (had to be induced), on Jan 19th 8.53pm weighing in at 9lb 10oz, twice the size of her big sister. Was a shock to the body I can tell you! Not nice having 3rd degree tear, but worth it in the end, she is such a good girl smile

Well better get back to it, take care everyone!

Our Babys were born on the same day!!! xxx
hi ladies!!

so good to see all the due january 2012 in here smile

we welcomed Boston Thomas into the world on the 31/01/12 (3 days over) at 3:15am in the morning....we only just made the hospital.....i was only in the birthing suite for 7mins and he arrived!! so another drug free birth for me...but also another 3rd degree tear...it got repaied under general but its healing well!!!

Boston weighed 8pounds 6ounces. was 51cm long and head was 35cm.

we gave breastfeeding a go for 8 days but again attachment and grazed nipples were a HUGE issue....i have flat nipples....so we have gone to formula sadly sad

but Boston is doing beautifully!! he sleeps fairly well at night 3/4 hourly feeds smile and isn't too much of a crier smile

my DD loves him but her behaviour is shocking atm....hoping she calms down soon blink

i look forward to regular updates from everyone!!

hi ladies hope everyone doing well with their new bubs!
we doing well here, mia was weighed at her 1 wk check and only lost 1/2 a oz so still a 9lb chub! shes sleeping really well doing 3/4 hrs or more at night last couple days had to wake her up last night after over 4 hrs my boobs were so full!

congrats kellee! our bubs born on smae day tongue i no exactly how u feel my nipples are really bad at the moment with cracks and grazes is toe curling sore latching her on at times am trying to make it to 2 wks (DD1 i only feed her for just over a wk with same thing - was in tears latching her on)and if not better will go to bottle and express for a bit.

really anoys me when people go on bout oh u should just push through the pain etc etc when they have no idea how sore it is! with DD1 i just had to be blunt with people and say its my choice but out id rather feed her a bottle than be in tears for every feed and hate it.

DD1 just loves her sister just have to tell to back of a bit sometimes when she put her face right in mia's! but she been so good just seems to be ignoring us when we tell her to do something at the moment just terrible 2s i guess!
Hi guys,
well im so tired, and im sure you guys can all relate.. Ive been feeding every two hrs and eating like a horse.. Glad to see jan mums ova here and congrats Olivia`s mum on yr birth.. Well William is beautiful, im so in love.. he is a great baby, he is 5.18 kl now and 3.5 weeks .. I just hired a safety carrier and it has made life so much easier.. He has a cold atm and is very grizzly so i cant wait till he is better but i have been snuggling him, a lot more :-)feeding is good but he is a fussy one, he gets on and off about six times before he starts to guzzle and then of course chokes so ive been pulling him away every couple of seconds till the milk slows.. any way ive got to run, so many things to do. talk soon.
Hi, I had my baby boy Mac on the 25.01.12, he is three weeks old today. He was an Ivf pregnancy born by planned c- section 10 days early and weighed 9pd 2ounces. My husband and I also have a little girl who will be 4 in May. Mac is doing really well so far.
Finally get around too posting, hve been reading every few days but my phone is painful with huggies website, anyway...

Our little Miss Matilda (aka Tilly) was born 24.1.12 smile mostly she has been a fantastic sleeper andfeeder, think she must be going through some kind of growth spurt atm, she has fed allll day, constantly, not even hourly, just constant, and did basically the same last night, falls asleep at boob copntinues sucking and when she does finally stop she seems fast asleep until i put her dwn then shes wide awake n wanting more boob :-S hoping its over soon and she goes back to being a super sleeper because i neeed a break, feel like a dairy cow!

Hi girls,

Well things are going really well with Crystal now, she still co-sleeps with me half the night but she is spending a few hours in her own bed first (now I just need to go to bed earlier) she is sleeping between 3-4 hours through the day which is great and hasn't been too fussed with the school drop off and pick up. She does have terrible hormone rash all over her face and down her neck sad

I cant believe she is already 1 month old, time is flying by too fast. She is still in 0000 so that is ok but I am sure she will be out of them soon, I am making them fit as long as possible 000's seem to be so big, not all of them but a lot, must be the make.

I find it hard to put her down, I want cuddles all the time, she is just way too beautiful

I hope you are all starting to get some sleep.

Cheryl

hi ladies,
how are we all going, busy of course with our newborns... William is doing well but we have a big cold, . we are still feeding frequently and mummy doesn't get much sleep but i love every bit of him and im excited to get up all night with my precious one. i got mastitis last week, no good but better now.William is becoming a lot more aware of his surroundings following us with his head, big big smiles and he loves staring at me. the school drop off and pick up was an absolute nightmare but i hired a safety strider car seat and got a pram base and my life is 100 times easier although im finding myself late for school and preschool but i don't care... it wont be for long. i want to start to exercise, has anybody started yet. has anybody had hooping cough injection yet.. am typing with one hand so i cant manage question marks lol.. im from the central coast, is any other Jan mums,, talk soon
Hi ladies, hope everyone is enjoying bubs and getting as much rest as you can! wink
Talia will be 5 weeks on Wednesday, it's flying past so quickly! We've been super busy as my parents stayed with us from the UK for a month, it was fantastic having my mum and dh with me at her birth and afterwards my parents have been such a great help! Dd1 is just starting to adjust properly now they've gone home, but only a 3 week break and then dh parents arrive! So we'll have to wait till the end of march before we can get into a proper routine again!
I also got mastitis around the 2 week mark! My god the worst pain ever, I never had it before and it really crept up on me, I was so emotional, feverinsh and just in agony! Course of antibiotics and a whole day in bed (mum just brought talia in when she needed food!) and it cleared up, but wouldnt wishit upon anyone!
Talias just starting to come out in what I'm hoping is just a hormone/milk rash has anyone else got this? If so are you using anything special on bubs?
But other than that's she's settled in really well feeding every 3-4 hrs during the day and I have a couple of 6-7 hours breaks at night! (how lucky am I!)
We also got our first awake smile yesterday! Just melted my heart, we all love her so much!
I'm for SE Melbourne, anyone else down this way?
