March 2012 Rss

hi smile)
i was just curious to see how many other mummies on here had their little one's March this year and what adorable things your littlies are starting to do smile

xx
ooh, only just saw this one smile
My DD was born on 18th March, and is doing fantastic. Apart from the fact we still don't get a full nights sleep (she still needs at least one feed) she is a delightful baby, always happy and squealing in delight at her toys. I love listening to her sounds, pulling faces to make her laugh. Its so great being a mother!
Think we may be teething, but not sure, been thinking that for the last month so probably not. Going to start giving her solids next week i think, see if it helps her sleep through the night. Will have to see smile Can roll from her back to her stomach when she feels like it, tries so hard to roll from her stomach to her back but keeps getting one arm stuck, will get there smile
How is your little one doing?

My little one is going great smile) shes been sleeping throught the night since about 4weeks old.. Already started on farex too.. She was a big bub (8p11ounce) so dr gave her the go ahead. Shes sitting up, laughing and rolls every now and then.
Yea my bub is teething too! Poor girl..
Hello fellow March Mums!

My DD2 was born on March 14 (9lb, 4oz ouch!). She is a delightful little thing and such an easy baby. She has been sleeping through since 7 weeks and is rolling (when she feels like it!). She is very cheeky yet very serious when she sees a new face she doesn't know. She has started "growling" for her own amusement and it sounds hilarious. She loves her farex and drools heaps but I don't think she is teething yet. She does "kisses" as well which just melts my heart.

DD1 is 5 and just adores her.

It is great to hear your little ones are doing well and are happy little vegemites smile
Not a happy vegemite today sad Just a grump, am so tired cos she was up every 2-3 hours during the night, and is grumpy today. I think it might be the teeth, but i can't see any redness or swelling or anything. She isn't drooling any more than usual, the only indication is irritability and she chomps on her fist like there is no tomorrow. Refuses to sleep during the day, but it only took 1 min in the pram to get her to sleep... sigh... Tried feeding her some farex and she hated it, was rather funny. Pulled the same face she pulls when i give her panadol, and gagged on it... guess will have to wait another week or so before giving it again...

Oh, and just a rant... I can't believe everyone i know who had a baby about same time as me or up to 2 months later are getting full nights sleep. Just wanna complain about the unfairness of it all, why does my baby not sleep through sad
Am ok, just wanted to get that out my system wink

The poor little love and poor you for the lack of sleep!

My DD1 didn't sleep through until she was 2 so DD2 sleeping through early was a shock. I used to think that babies that slept through at 6 weeks were a myth! I hope your little one sleeps through soon, you will feel so much more human. Maybe once she starts to like Farex and it fills the gap in her belly she might sleep better?

Does she usually not sleep during the day or only since her teeth have been bothering her?

I hope tonight is a better night smile
I used to be able to put her in bed awake, and she would sleep for anything from 30min to an hour, and we used to do that every two hours during the day. Now, she won't go to bed, i can't rock her to sleep, can't even let her cry herself to sleep cos she just gets hysterical. Its been like this since Friday i think...
Usually she wakes only once a night too, but now its at least twice if not more. I am hoping its her teeth which means that it will eventually sort itself out, hopefully sooner than later. If its not her teeth i don't know what we will do...
*sigh* The joys of motherhood wink

Hello, my little daughter was born on the 7 March. Had a rough start with her (poor thing had a brain bleed and we spent 4 week's in Monash Hospital) but she's just adorable.
We started to roll the other week, she's funny she did it that first time and that whole day that's all she did, hasn't done it agin though, but she's getting there. She's really starting to recognise who's who know, i took her into work the other day just to see everyone and she screemed the place down, really know's who her mummy is which feels really nice. ATM she's down on the floor in her bouncer yelling at her toy's, (apparently they're not doing what she want's) she's certainly voicing her opinions now, very strong personality.
I've just started her on farax as well seem's to be taking it well, god she made some funny faces to start with.
Lulu's still not sleeping through the night either, had a rough night last night she was up 3 time's, i feel like absolute crap finger's crossed for a good night's sleep tonight.

How frustrating Jessica_060411! My DD2 went through the same thing about a fortnight ago. I also put her down when she is awake (but sleepy) and she settles herself within a few minutes however like you, she would scream murder and didn't want to be put down. This lasted a few days and I was at wits end from the screaming and the permanent baby fixture to my hip. I just kept repeating our usual bedtime routine and would go and rescue her when she was too upset. It still didn't work but after a few days, she just snapped out of it. I am still not sure what caused and and what fixed it but so glad it is over! I hope your little lady is back to routine soon! I am sending you some sleep fairies smile

Hi Moo2Moo! Geeze, rough start alright! Has she fully recovered? My DD2 also had a bit of a rough start (not as bad as a brain bleed though!) a few hours after birth, she went into respiratory distress and developed pneumonia. She was in special care on antibiotics for a few days and had some scarring on her lungs which is now gone. She is now perfectly healthy thank goodness! My little one is also very on the ball with faces. She gets very serious and won't smile for strangers. She also scolds her toys when they aren't doing the right thing, it is so cute isn't it!
Im sorry to here about your Daughter Mumma984, its frightning isn't it, but im so glad thing's are good now. ATM my girl's reaching all her milestones, which is a weight off my mind, to me she's a perfectly healythy 4 month old baby. Just alot of follow up oppintments with neurology/Paed's to keep an eye on her development. As a side affect of the bleed she began fitting, controlled by medication for the first 4 months and is now nearly of the med's. Just keeping an eye out to wether she develope's Epilepsy.

I know that serious face, DD has been using it a lot lately. I cant believe that at this age they're so full of personality.

Hi my little man was born on the 15th of march he is such a easy happy baby has been sleeping 11-12 hours a night since 7 weeks, not rolling yet but trying to cralw, he is just getting over a cold and think he may be teething bit grumby today.
he loves blowing raspberrys and playing pick-a-boo

Well, a slightly better night last night, and *fingers crossed* she is already back in bed for a nap. Will see how long she lasts, but at least she went down... Oh, nevermind, that would be her yelling out at me.... *sigh*...

Hope your night was better Moo2moo smile Glad to hear your little one is doing better after such a rough start too, hope everything continues to go so well! And yes, they are so full of personality, its delighful watching them.

I was going to comment yesterday how we all had little girls so far, and then 2boys2girls joined us smile glad to hear your little man is nice and easy for you, means you will still have time for the rest of your littlies smile

I love seeing DD learn knew things, she delighted her father yesterday by holding out her arms when he asked her to come, he thought it was the coolest thing ever. I love seeing her interact with people and things, and of course hearing her little giggle... Just wish teething wasn't so painful, the poor darling is almost living off panadol, cos otherwise she just screams whilst trying to get her whole fist in her mouth so she can chew on it. Might look into an amber teething necklace soon.... you girls used one before?
