Hi! I have a may baby grin it's a bit hard at the moment cos its made my 20month old dd really sensitive and clingy so that's driving me mad and I'm scared she won't settle sad new ds is great though, feeding well and sleeping well for the most part and dd is really good with him smile
How are you going? I read your post about your mum, I wanted to reply but haven't been on much sad how is that situation now?

So much better now, I think I needed to get out and clear my head. Get some perspective and regroup. I knew i was being too negative, almost felt if i didnt take care of myself now, i would go into some sort of depression. So off I went to Dome and back with a fresh mind. World of difference an hour makes.
Coping ok with the Bub, finally got a hang of breastfeeding, the first few weeks was fingernails on blackboard! Haha. She's beginning to get really fussy during evening times, about five in the evening and continues to run at 9 o'clock at night so she's not sleeping during thouse hours. Freaks me out cause she is screaming uncontrollably and she keeps wanting to feed, like every half an hour....Aiks..
Little one hates tummy time and the health nurse told me she like to see bub's at 6 weeks lifting their necks and turning from side to side. I was getting really concerned cause I put Bub down for a minute and she screams her head off. But just yesterday, I was holding her upright, on my chest and she was lifting her head and turning left to right, for a good 5 minutes or so. She just can't lift her head when she's on her belly. sad
My nephew gets upset if she sees my SIL carrying my bub, jealous almost. Much better now though, SIL said there were more babies in her mothers group so he's getting used to sharing mommy.haha. Cute.
With your second Bub, are you more relaxed ? I always wondered if it would be hard to be pregnant and have a toddler on hand, I remember being extremely tired during the pregnancy.
Off to my first open session tomorrow, really excited. Can't wait to meet other bubs and mommies and daddies. I'm the first within my group to have kids and they are working, so time to make new friends !

Hi There May Mummy's,
My DS2 was born on May 2nd. He is sleeping, eating and growing beautifully. Something we have noticed is that since I started expressing and feeding with a bottle he gets a lost less wind pains and less reflux.
I still feed directly from the boob occassionally but he is much more settled on the bottle. Given that it takes him nearly an hour to feed on the boob and a whole ten mkinutes with the expressed breast milk in the bottle it is a win win situation and Daddy can feed too whcich gives me a break.
DS1 has been great with new bub and is even managing to toilet train (mostly getting it right).
Anyway that's my speal.
Lest's keep in touch with this thead it is nice to be able to talk toother mum's with bub at the same stages.

Ashweey,
Sounds like you are doing a great job! I had my second daughter on 1st May this year and her older sister is 18 months and 3 days older. Busy times - but better than I thought it would be! My first daughter just has SOOOO much love for her little sister - in fact maybe sometimes a little TOO much.
With feeding at night - I spoke to a lactation consultant before and after this bub as had major low supply first time round. She said it's really common for bubs to cluster feed at night like that. You generally have less milk at that time BUT the milk you have has 25% more fat. So she said a lot of people will comp feed then and I'm sure in some instances that is absolutely appropriate but if you are happy for bub to cluster feed then then that is fine too. I reckon YOU will know your bub better than anyone else. So just go with what you think bub needs - it sounds like you are doing a great job!
And the lifting the head thing - babies do things in their own time. And all bubs are different - sometimes health nurses can stress you out unnecessarily. She'll likely get their in her own time. And if she hasn't THEN see a paediatrician - but not yet. Give her time - you are doing great. smile

Hey Everyone
Our little girl was born on the 19th of may, 2 days early but not by choice. I was a bit lost to begin with. Wasnt sure what i was doing but she has been a god sent. She sleeps and feeds every 4 hours witch is great at least i know when shes due. But is very refluxy, I also found expressing milk tend to settle her a bit more. But i find it hard to express enough when shes due, and is abit time consuming. All in all she is doing great.
Shes just had her needles she was much braver then her mummy. I must admit I thought it wasnt goin to bother me. But i was so wrong. How have the other mums dent with it?
Anyways thats enough about me. How are the rest of you doing. How is mother hood treating you.?
Regards

Hi All,
I have a May baby.. My gorgeous girl was born on the 11th May (11 days late). Like a lot of first time mums, I was lost to start with and am still lost at times on what to do. My little one (now 10 weeks old) sleeps roughly 7-8 hours a night but only catnaps during the day. A little frustrating when you want to get things done but I cant complain as I do get a good night sleep.
Motherhood is such a blessing. We waited so long to get our girl that no matter how stressed times can be, that little smile on that little face is all so worth it.
Well that is a bit about our May baby but would love to hear from others and make new friends.

My little girl was born on the 30th of May. She has been the perfect baby so far. Fingers crossed she remains that way.
Her brother will be 2 next month. He loves her to death. Is a little over the top at times and is becoming a handful.
The cluster feeding at 5pm makes it hard for baths/showers/dinners etc, but we get there in the end. smile
