Grinding Teeth

I know that grinding teeth is not a teething issue but I thought I would bring the issue up in this forum anyway. My 9 month DS has started to grind his teeth - well that is what it sounds like. Does anyone know how I can stop him from doing this so that he does not damage his teeth?

My DD did this around the same age and it sounds funny but I just asked her to stop!! She did it occasionally for around a month and then stopped altogether. Hope this helps smile

has he recently got the bottom teeth?
my DS started grinding once his first bottom teeth came through - it was just because it was a new sensation for him I guess.
When he did it we would try to distract him with something else.
He grew out of it eventually - maybe a month or 2.

My little darling, who turned 1 a few weeks ago, has recently started grinding his teeth gasp and it seems to be since another tooth is coming through on the bottom. So far I'm just teeling him No and it sometimes works and he stops and then others he just keeps it up laugh I'm hoping it's a short phase that he's going through smile
