Looks like DP & I will need to watch our Words carefully.
Coincidence?
SO i got DD up from her nap and her cot was wet. So i was changing the sheets etc and the airwrap was p!ssing me off and i said the F word. Next second it sounded like DD said it, or was at least making a good attempt of it. Shes only 9mths and only just starting to babble mum & dada.

I can't help but laugh...my DS first said the f word at age 2 and I was soo shocked. We have been watching what we say from then on and he hasn't said it for a while since. It's scary how quick they pick it up!!!!

Looks like we will have to watch our word too soon!!

My boy(18 months) was helping to unload some firewood from a trailer when a bit of wood fell down next to his foot. He said 's**t' right in front of the delivery man (an older man from the Lions Club). I was really embarrased but quietly thought, good timing.
And yes we try to watch our language too. Now the kids are a bit older what they don't learn at home they do pick up at school.

Haha, don't worry too much, at nine months they can repeat things like parrots but she will definitely not retain the word for future use as long as she is not hearing it regularly!
My brother used to think it was hilarious to purposely teach DD swear words. What he didn't realise is that DD might have been sitting there repeating them back to him at the time, but once he had left the house she had no recollection of them and they certainly didn't become part of her vocabulary, because she wasn't hearing them in regular use.

DH and his best mate were playing PS3 the other night. One of them crashed the car they were driving and our friend's 18month old said "Ahhhhhhhhh sh!t!" whoops! Lol
