Hey ladies smile so the time has come hubby and I are needing a second income again and I don't know where to begin! I can't afford to work during the day as day care is terribly expensive and my partner isn't keen on working weekends as we won't get to.spend any time together so any "realistic" ideas on making money from home ? Thanks any advice would be great.
working from home
Hello smile
It kind of depends what sort of thing you want to do. Do you have any particular experience, skills or qualifications that you might like to draw upon?
If you have a communications/writing background you could do what I do - I work from home, as a tender writer, writing tenders (obviously lol), grants and funding applications. It pays well and the flexibility is great, I can choose what hours I work in the office and when I work from home. Last year, with DS2 still at home full time, I only went to the office when it was necessary for meetings and I couldn't teleconference (which is what I do for most meetings).
Otherwise, there is also market research, I know people get paid for that - one way is though completing surveys, online or in focus groups and that sort of thing. I don't know how lucrative it is though, or how you find a decent job in it. I've also seen jobs advertised before for general research, like information for websites and stuff like that - didn't really look into it myself, so I'm not sure exactly what it entails, but if you type 'researcher' into Seek then something like that might come up (that's where I saw it).
