When & where did you put earrings to your baby? Rss

Hi all,

When & where did u first put earrings to your baby girl? Any recommendations for a place in Sydney....

Thanks
I'm a beauty therapist and we don't recommend piercing in our salon before the age of two because the babies can go into shock. My step sister though, has her two girls done but the were too young and their ear lobes were too small at the time. Now they are 4 and 19 months the older one has her earring wonky because they were too small to pierce in the first place.
hi hi grin i have 4 DD's all have earrings in earlobes. I got the first done at 5yrs... just b4 school because DH didn't want me to do them any earlier... they got infected REALLY badly even with the proper cleaning/antiseptic spray stuff and turning like i was told to... took almost 4 mths to clear and even longer to heal properly...
DD2 watched (she was 3yrs) and wouldn't let us touch her ears til she was 6! HUGE fear... finally sweet talked her into it (bribery lol) and she got them done... same problem... infected badly again... long heal time...
but DD3 and 4 we got pierced on their 1st birthday... didn't have a problem... healed perfectly and quickly... No problems with shock or anything else... AND THEY DIDN'T PLAY WITH THEM!! cried for a moment with but eased almost as soon as i wasn't restraining their heads.... kind of the same restraint that you do with their injections.

All were done at the hair dressers/barbers with a piercing gun... 2 at the same time.

We are currently expecting DD5 and will be getting her ears pierced at 1 again ... hope i helped
Thank you all for your replies.

What do you mean by shock?
Hi, I can't help with the Sydney thing but I got my DD's earlobes pierced at 6 mo ths old. I went in earlier nd the place I went 2 said her lobes were 2 small nd 2 come back. I did at 6 mo the and they pierced both at the same time, one last on each ear. She cried 4 less than a min and we have never had a problem with them. I think getting them done at that age she doesn't know any difference.
