My son is almost 7 months old and still can not roll over. He does sit up by himself and has done so since 5 1/2 months. Whenever i lay him on his tummy he throws his arms behind him, crys and often vomits. He wont support his weight with his arms. He is a very happy boy and is quite content to lay on his back and play with his feet which sometimes results in him falling to one side but that is as far as he goes. I was wondering if anybody else has experienced the same or similar... its been 19 years since my daughter was born and i am a little rusty lol

My DD has only recently started rolling over too....i think she was about 7mths.....and now i cant stop her....she never vomited, but she was quite content to stay on her tummy for a while. She is 8mths old now and has only really got quite good at supporting her weight on her arms.

I've heard that some babies don't necessarily roll at all, although your never 100% sure with what your told at times. I was told some babies do what your little one is doing, sitting up to pulling themselves up on furniture and then straight to walking. My DD does the same - rolls from side to side (she also loves her feet) but not completely rolling over. She always corrects herself at the last minute. I still find it amazing just how different babies can be.
