when did your bub start rolling onto thier tummy?? Rss

hey i was just wondering when your little one started to roll onto their tummy and how long after that they started to roll around the house, then crawl??
Hey im not sure but would like to know the answer aswell mine gets up to her waist over but just cant seem to get her bottom half over yet, she's 12weeks 2day..
My DD started rolling the day she turned 3 months. Within a day or two she was rolling around everywhere.
By 4 months she was getting up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forward, then started pushing herself forward with her knees. She is now 5 months and is commando crawling and also able to push herself everywhere by pushing forward when on her hands and knees.

DD was 12wks rolling, but has only just started to crawl (8mths!!!) Long time in between
Both of my girls are early rollers but slow crawlers.

DD1 - was rolling both ways by 6 weeks
DD2 - was rolling both ways by 3 weeks

Both of them then stopped rolling at around 2 months and only rolled when they had to (maybe once a week) until around 6 months.

DD1 - crawled backwards at 8 months, forwards at 10 months
DD2 - is 7 1/2 months and is not at all interested

Every baby is different, it'll all happen in time.
DS1 rolled over about 8/9 weeks, crawled about 5/6 months and was walking by 9 months

DS2 was rolling over about 3 months, crawling about 6/7 months and was walking by 12 months. He prefered (and still does actually) to be carried (lazy little ratbag)

The earlier they move the sooner the mischief starts!
My bubba is 12 weeks & not even thinking about it!?!
All bubs are so different & will do it when they're ready!?

My DS was rolling both ways before 6 weeks, commando crawling around 3 months, crawling properly at 6 1/2 months and at 8 months is standing up by himself and starting to cruise. Very unsteady on his feet still, i've gotten good at catching him when he lets go of furniture. tongue

DS was very similar. He was rolling both ways by 6 weeks, but didn't crawl properly until about 7months.

My bubs is 4 1/2 months and still not rolling over, could be something to do with him hating to lie on the floor!! DS1 was a late roller too, and a 'on time' crawler and an early walker. He was walking at 10 1/2 months I think the crawling started at I think about 7 months and I cant remember when he rolled, I just remember thinking he better do it soon or I will be finding out if there is anything wrong with him!! He also hated lying on the floor. Both DSs also hate tummy time too, so it doesnt really give them any motivation to roll onto their tums smile
DD#1 could roll front to back at 4 months, back to front at 8 months (yep late had exercises for her to do!), crawling at 9 months 1 week and the walking at 11 months.

DD#2 rolling both ways at 5 months, didn't crawl until 10 months 2 weeks and then walking at 13 months 1 week.

DS is 12 weeks old (3 months on Wed) and kicks himself over from his tummy 'occasionally' and nowhere near doing it the other way yet...he hates tummy time with a passion, since birth I can't get even a minute for him to be there without crying, as much as we do try!

chantelle 11 weeks hates tummy time too she has a bit of a flat head too I sleep her on her side during the day to try and help straighten it out. worried she will be delayed in rolling and crawling aswell but she loves to stand with little help and push of with her legs.

Funny thing, the afternoon I wrote this, DS2 rolled from front to back and started 1/2 way getting from back to front smile Still hates lying on the floor though unless DS1 is there to play with him and DS1 has a short attention span for a kid that cant do anything fun!!!!
Soham started to roll when he was 16 weeks old only from right side. And does not roll from other side. he does rolling only in evenings but not during day times.
My son was rolling quite well around 8 weeks, "super frog hopping" lol by 4.5mnths, crawling properly at 6.5 mnths and is now 7 1/2 mnths and is pulling himself up and walking along the couch etc... he'll also walk if I hold both his hands but looses his balance if he gets too excited as he stops concentrating. All bubs are different and I say they'll move when they're ready to. smile

They are all so different so dont go driving yourself crazy thinking about everyone else's bubs developmental stages. We are all individual beings.

our little boy rolled at 9.5 weeks and did this ALL the time - it was a headache as he rolled back to front and then didnt want to be on his tummy.

He didnt roll the other way until 3 months of age.
He commando crawled at 3.5 months, crawled at 5.5 months, pulled up on furniture at 6 months and walked around furniture at 6.5 months. He just turned 10 months 3 days ago and just started to stand unsupprted for as long as 20 secs if occupied.

But he loves crawling and for my 1st child, id like it if he stayed on the floor for quite a little longer smile

Good luck with everything, its the best job EVER!
My daughter started rolling over to stomach from both sides at 12wks she's 14wks now and is starting to use her feet to crawl she pushes them and moves, she just cant figure out what her hands are meant to do, when she figures that out she will be crawling lol
dd is 12 weeks and she rolled from front to back at 8 weeks. She did it 5 times so I know it wasn't a fluke but she hasn't done it since. Probably because she doesn't like tummy time so I don't tend to give her as much as I should
