How Heavy At 6 Months?
My big booffer is 11kg... unsure
My DD is 7.5kg, and almost 8 months. And Im trying to fatten her up!
Poor boy is too heavy for the weight restrictions on some of the shopping trolleys... oh dear. Though we are hoping he is going to plateau a little now that is has started to move.
my ds was 10kgs he slowed down after 6months cause he stared crawling and cruising
he only put on 1 kg by 12months

11.6 kg at 6months smile
My DD was 6.66kg at 8 months. She was 7.96 at her 12 month check. We've been trying to fatten her up ever since she was born. She now eats like a horse and she's still small! I always wished she was a boofer! Much less stressful than worrying about her weight. sad

Hi at 6 months my ds was 6.4kg. He was 2.8kg at birth. He now weighs 7.015kg at 9 months old. My child health nurse is concerned as he's dropped 2 lines on the percentile graph but paediatrician thinks he's fine. I think he's fine but it does get frustrating when people say how tiny he is and ask if he's sick unsure
When I was starting him on solids at 6 months I even had other mums say do I realise baby's shouldn't have solids till after 6 months huh This is when I have my 3 dd's with me huh

Awww... I had to start big boy on solids at 4 months he was just too hungry. He was never full. It was also doctors idea of slowing down his weight gain (less fat). A wee while ago the dr had the idea of putting him on a diet... I sat there nodding and agreeing got home and fed his haha... who can deny a little bubba their food. I'm not too worried about it really.

Yes sometimes you just nod and smile when your given advice and then you do what feels right grin
My DD was 2.7kg when born and weight 6.5 at 6 months. I too get the "oh she's so small". And frustrating because she's such a fussy eater even with her bottles.
I believe DS was 8.8 at 6 months.
He has only put about 200gms since then.
Dropped about 3 lines on the growth chart. He is perfectly happy and healthy smile

He's certainly a big boy isn't he!
DS was 10.5kg at 6 months, but 3 weeks later was 11.65kg - which coincided with him starting to eat more solids and not cutting down on his 12-15 breastfeeds a day! But now he's crawling he should slim down... or get more hungry...

My DD was 5.4kg at 6 months (born 3.2kg) she stopped growing for 3 months but is now 9 months and is almost 7kg. She doesn't look that little till you compare her to other babies. Has a big full belly and plump legs. But today we has a visit from a 3 months old who is almost the same size. Thats when you realise how little she is.
WOW! My 14 month old is only just 8kg! (And hovering a little lower!)

What type of child restraint do you use? I've got a safe n sound convertable something from Target but it says not to use to in the forward facing mode till bub is 8kg. She is getting very frustrated when i push her back to strap her in. And at the rate she is going she should hit 8kg by about 13months by then I think she will definatly be over laying back in reward facing mode.
My DD is 7.6 kg at 6 months and was 3.84 at birth
