Hi, my daughter is nearly 10 months old and she's not crawling yet... I'm starting to get a bit worried - should I be? She can sit by herself for a long time and can roll back to tummy but not the other way. She tries to pull herself up on furniture and likes the feel of standing on her feet but she seems to have no idea about crawling... I guess I'm concerned because my older daughter was crawling everywhere at 7 months... Any ideas?

nah its perfectly normal to not be crawling at that age. I've got a few in my coffee group who have just started crawling at 12months.

DD#1 didn't crawl until 11 1/2 months. She was walking at 14 months. I wouldn't worry about it, enjoy the peace while it lasts! smile

My nephew only started crawling at 13 months and walked at 14. I wouldn't worry yet. Some babies don't crawl at all and go straight to walking.

Please don't worry. All children are different. My DS1 didn't crawl until 10months and didn't walk until he was 13months old. But DS2 started crawling at 6months and walking by 10months.

They often say children are either a mover or a talker. Meaning which they learn faster. DS1 talked so much you couldn't shut him up but DS2 is my quiet moving child.

My friends twins didnt crawl till the week of their first birthday. They are now starting to walk at 15 months. Dont worry about it, every child is different.
My son was premmi and crawled at 8 months and he still isnt walking at 14 months. I know he will do it when he is ready wink

my Lm is 9 m.o & still not sitting. has only just started to roll .don't worry

My boy is 10 months old and isnt crawling, i was worried about it but everyone says its normal, so i just let him be, i do admit that its easy knowing exactly where i put him on his bum! smile

Like everyone else said, don't worry. My DD didn't crawl until 1 week before her first birthday. I must admit, we were worried too but we had no reason to be - she just took her sweet time LOL!! laugh They all develop so differently and you might find that your bub is ahead in other areas like fine motor skills. But it really doesn't matter, she will get there eventually, trust me.

My daughter who is now almost 15 months only started sitting by herself at 10 months, crawling at 12 months and pulling up to stand at 13 months. She is no where near ready to walk, its normal, some kids just take a little longer. I was worried too but now i am not. xo

DS 17 months didnt start crawling until he was nearly 12 months. Some babies never crawl - they go straight from sitting to standing. If she is meeting all her other milestones then there is no need to worry.
