What are the signs? Rss

Just wanting to know what the signs of teething are? Ds is just gone 3 months, and for about a month or so he's been drooling heaps! And I know it's pretty normal, but his hands are in his mouth from the minute he wakes up to the minute he goes to sleep. When I put my finger in his mouth he bites down quite hard on it. Are these signs of teething?

Thanks smile
They are, but...

at around 3 months old everything goes into their mouths, hands no exception, they love exploring things by putting them into their mouths which includes licking, biting, sucking, anything they can do with their mouth.

Also around that age their saliva glands begin to work abit harder therefore produce more saliva hence the drooling. They also lack the ability to swallow when they need to so they end up with drool dribbling down their fronts.

It could be teething, but you'll never know for sure until one comes through the skin, usually the front bottom 2. Also just before the tooth errupts, you can see the lump through the front of the gum rising up. There's also a little 'ridge' type thing on the gum on the inside (hard to explain) but if that's still there it usually means a tooth is still awhile away.
DD2 also showed the same signs at that age but her first tooth didnt pop up until 8-9 months.
My bub was exactly the same at around that age but her first tooth came through at about 7 months. Now 9 months her drbbling has gotten even worse, she got a runny nose and runny nappies and pulling at her ears. I was sure she must be getting more teeth but still no more 2 weeks later and her nose and nappy has got back to normal (I had heard they were teething signs as well as a rashy bum).
Drooling is a sign of teething and maybe Diarrhea because of all the extra saliva. Also they can get very irratable. Biting, gnawing, they can develop a low grade fever almost like the flu/cold. Coughing. Our daughter had nearly all of these symptons when teething. We used these round shape things that had water inside, that went into the freezer and she chewed on them. They worked great for us.
