What's in a number Rss

Okay so I have been a little confused about how we calculate bubs age. My baby is 22wks which based on lots of 4 wks is 5 1/2 months but I have been told that you don't count months in lots of for for bubs age but rather count from month to months based on the date your hub was born ie. if ur bub was born on the 1/6/2011 then bub is three months old at 1/9/2011! hope that makes sense!?! How do you do it?
I go by months till he turns 1 then i say he 1 or just over 1 or he 1 and a half. I don't remember weeks.

I count from the date bubs is born. Example, DD2 was born on the 10th of August, so on the 10th of each month she's another month older. The other way (in weeks) works well in the early days, but it soon gets too confusing!
From memory- geeze is that bad considering DD is only 15 mths- I did weeks until 6 months and then months and 1/2 months thereafter so 7mts/ 7 1/2mths etc...prity sure this is how my Paed was referring to her so just followed suit...now she is above 1 I refer to it solely as months. No right or wrong way smile
i counted weeks (saturday to saturday) for about maybe 10-12 weeks and then went to months so 15th (DS date) to 15th of each month
I did weeks to 12weeks then changed to months.
The thing with weeks is some months actually have more than 4 weeks eg this month has 4.5 and March had almost 5 weeks. so 20weeks doesn't necessarily mean 5months IYKWIM, thats why I changed after 12weeks
