Eye concerns - advice and tips and reassurance needed Rss

Hi,
I am a little worried about my 7 week old daughters eyes...one eye is sometimes lazy (closes when she is feeding or tired) and the other eye does not always close completely when she is going to, or asleep.

Dr has advised that it is strabismus and to check at 4 months and 6 months but I am worried.

Can anyone advise their experience with similar issues and the outcome? Also, can anyone provide any tips that may help the eye/s?? to strenghthen.

I'm beating myself up about this a bit and not sure how worried I should be, or if I am in a state of exhausted, sleep deprived over-concern...

thanks

Not sure whether you are seeing a specialist or not as yet (you just mentioned DR?)
- the leading strabismus and pediatric ophthalmologist in Victoria is Dr Lionel Kowal (google him - he as the Private Eye Clinic in Melbourne) Phone 03 9671 3244
Edited to attach link
I would suggest you call his offices, mention you are in SA, and maybe his office can recommend someone in SA
My sil has had personal experience with him for her son - numerous doctors were like "don't worry about, it willl sort itself out in time" but she didn't feel right about it and kept persisting until she got onto Dr Kowal and she can't recommend him highly enough
Hope this helps - all the best
