Hi All,
One year ago I had my first baby, Katija was born by C section as she was breach. That day ahen I first sore her I thought she was perfect, as Im sure we all do when we see our baby for the first time. After the initial uforia past and the peadiatrition came to check on my bundle of joy, I was advised that my little one appears to have hip dysplacia. I was then told it can fix itself and we would check it 8 weeks later and then decide if treatment was nesesary. The 8 weeks past and at the ultrasound to my dismay she had hips that needed to treated. Befor I could even process what was hapening, my little baby was in a Pavlick Harness which had to stay on 24/7. It was bad enough going through the process and watching my baby struggle with the harness, but then there was the inforseen issue of finding somthing for her to wear. I found it very hard to find anything suitable. It was then that I dug out my dusty sewing machine and got to work. I knew there had to be a better design that was easy to use and cofortable. After many late nights I had made something I new would work. I designed the Jumpsuit, this is a product that is specialised tand works well with the harness. I even recieved positive feedback from the specialist Orthapedic Surgen and Pediatric Physio. I took on the feedback and spent the next 6 months trying to find an Australian manufacturer.
Well now all is said and done and I have jumpsuits to offer to parents who found themselves in the same situation as me.
Please have a look on my ebay store for further information- Thanks and good luck, it does get easier once they adjust to the harness.
