8 month old pooing in bath Rss

Hi, this is a weird one but my 8 month old DD is crawling and pulling herself up to stand everywhere. She particularly likes to do this in the bath, which is fine but lately (about 4 times this week) whenever she's in the bath standing up, she does a poo. I'm finding myself following her around the bath with a yoghurt container to catch the droppings lol! Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal?
When my older 2 (now 8 and 11) were little they used to love going in the bath together. The younger on went through a stage of doing this, we got pretty quick at evacuating the bath smile still laugh about this...but she grew out of it after a while. Was more of a problem when we took her swimming....never managed to evacuate a pool ...but came pretty close...even with swimmer nappies
never suffered through this myself but my daughter does poo quite regularly at a certain time of the day so I work around it and don't put her to nap before it comes. perhaps you could modify your routine a bit to make sure she's in a nappy at the time she'd normally be in the bath and then bath her. unless the freedom is making her relax and that's bringing on a poo?? dunno?? good luck with that one!!

Hahaha, yoghurt container! Sorry, I'm laughing with you, not at you, promise!

My DD (15 months) recently poohed in the bath for the first time but since she did that I've found out that it's quite common so I wouldn't worry about it. Baths are relaxing so I guess it just makes everything relax, including one's bowels! grin
PS At least you had a yoghurt container. I didn't. sad

Thanks for your replies ladies - at least I'm not alone.
I didn't have a yoghurt container the first couple of times lol but I got wise to her antics wink
I'm thinking of getting a potty and keeping it in the bathroom so when she starts I can quickly get her on to it. I can't get her to the toilet because she'd probably crap in my hand and I don't want that lol!!
Oh the joys of motherhood smile
