Also wondered does their weight as a baby indicate what their weight will be like as a child? I mean, if my baby is on the 50th percentile now does that mean she will most likely stay around there as a toddler and child?
Has she gained too much weight?
My baby girl is 5 and half months old and weighs 7.2kg. She was fully breastfed until 3 and half months, and since then she was put on lactose free formula, so in 2 months she has gained approx 1.5kg. She was steady on the 25th percentile for weight while she was breastfed but has now jumped up to over the 50th percentile, is this too much of a weight gain? Her length is still around the 25th percentile. She has usually 5 feeds a day of 180ml so I don't think she overeats.

I think they like them to stay along the curve, whether its 25% or 50% they tend to follow it.
I personally wouldn't worry though once she starts to move it'll balance out.
I know a baby who was 10kgs at 6months, then once she started to move she put on hardly any weight as she was burning off all the energy she's now about 11kgs at 18months.

It's perfectly normal, try not to worry so much. At this stage she'll only eat if shes hungry.
Ps my little boy is 6 months, just got him weighed and his 8.3kgs (were breastfeeding, it doesnt really change either way) Oh and he has never stuck to a percentage.
Hope that helps

My DD was putting on 250gms a week, so i wouldnt worry, she has rolls and shes a very solid baby, but as PP have said, once shes moving she will work it all off. Nothing wrong with having a well fed happy baby.
I also found the jolly jumper good, allows to to exercise and she loves it. Shes also pretty mobile in her walker to. Fingers crossed she starts crawling soon shes now 7mths.
