How much does/did your 10 week old weigh? Rss

So I had my baby weighed while I was at mother's group last week and at 10 weeks he clocked in at 7.75kg!! He wasn't especially big born (3.5kg, 7lb 14oz) but has just chuck on the weight since, he is solely breast fed too.

Has anyone elses kid grown like this and if so did it slow down at all?
My little girl was about 4.5kg at 10 weeks, she was breastfed and put on about 200g a week at first (she was born 3.2kg). She's 7.2kg now at 5 and a half months. I was worried at first she wasn't gaining enough weight, my mum had records of my sisters and I as babies (all breastfed) and we also put on lots of weight, like 300-400grams a week, I was 12kg at 12 months old. We are now all average height and we were always slim as children, so I wouldn't worry too much smile
DS was like that. He weighed 3.685kg at birth and by 6 weeks he was over 6kg. It didn't stop there either. My sister called him her little budda! He had the biggest rolls! Everytime we saw family/friends they would say, "my god! Look at him! He's huge!"

He did eventually slow down at around 5 months. He is now the skinniest of my three kids and people always comment on how light he is. He's not at all underweight just not chubby either!

He was exclusively breast fed until 7.5 months too!
I had a 5 week prem baby girl and at 10 weeks old he weighed 10lbs 11oz (4.8kg) and was born a wee 5lb 1oz (2.3kg).

Sounds like mummy has amazingly good milk - well done mum!! you are doing a great job smile
I just had a look back through my plunket book. DS was 2.9kg at birth and 5.5kg at 10 weeks. You must be doing a great job. This is the only situation when being called a good cow is a complement haha grin
My DS was 6.430kg at 10 weeks (breast fed as well) so he was in the 75%. He didn't slow down - in fact, he went up to the 97% with his weight. However, he's a really long baby as well and is off the chart with his length.
Haven’t had him measured for a while but at 8 months he was 11.16kg and 78cm long.
He was 3.65kg and 54cm when he was born.
At 10 weeks old, my DD was 5.51kg and 59cm long. She was 3.66kg and 52cm when born.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not too worried, it's more funny than anything, everyone is always commenting on how big he is. He is a really long bub as well but I'm 5 ft 11in and hubby is 6ft 4in so he was bound to be tall.

One of my friends did say the other day that he looks like a russian weighlifter lol!!
