On all fours, how long until crawling? Rss

Hey ladies,
I was just wondering how long after your little ones first went up on all fours did they start crawling? DS is 6 months and has been getting up on all fours by himself for the last week or so. I know everyone develops differently and not to compare. I just wanted to know approximately how long I have until the house has to be absolutely prestine haha.
(theres no set time to this, its when they get the confidence to start moving and to work out how to move their hands and knees to make that movement. Each child is an individual. Could take days to weeks)

My daughter took a matter of a couple says I think. She did everything quickly.
My son, I think he took a bit longer. Maybe a week or two.

Hey, When your Ds starts to push his body in a rocking position, you know he is pretty much ready. Make sure you have things up high. Once they start crawling, they get into anything they can get their hands on. My Ds didn't start crawling til 6 and a half months and by 8 months he started walking. He didn't stay crawling for much. Every baby is diffent. When he is ready to crawl, he'll work it out.
He has starting doing the back and forth rocking today! Is there any unobvious things that need baby proofing? I suppose I wont realise it needs baby proofing until DS gets into it haha. Thanks everyone smile
Just the common sence stuff.
Make sure there's no wobbly cupboards he can pull on himself as after they start crawling they are likely to start pulling themselves up on things.
Get a lock for your kitchen chemical cupboard, usually the one under the sink. You really don't want baby getting in there. Special baby locks are in the baby section of chemists or supermarkets. Put them on any draws you don't want baby getting into and cupboards. I let baby have full access to my plastics cupboard though as its a fun pastime for them to trash it. Usually baby will go straight for that cupboard rather than play with own toys.
Once baby is mobile nothing is sacred so keep as many doors in the house shut as possible especially bathrooms and toilets. You don't want baby in them.
Basically, everything needs to come off the floor and out of reach that could be a possible danger.
