8 month old standing Rss

Hi lovely ladies

Now, I'm probably being completely paranoid, but just wondering if anyone else has noticed this with their bubbas.

My 8 month old DD is happy to stand and will even hold her weight when we stand her to hold onto the couch. She isn't crawling yet, but spins round on her tummy to get what she wants. However, I've noticed that when she is standing, her right foot will be completely flat on the ground, and she will be balancing on the ball of her left foot. She will put it down flat, but will then bring it back up again. She loves her jolly jumper and try to get her into it when we can.

It does appear that the right side is more dominant as she always reaches for toys with her right hand etc. So, I don't know if that could possibly be why???

Any advise would be greatly appreciated and I hope I've explained it so it isn't confusing for everyone!

Cheers
My DDs been standing since about 6mths, and she doing the same thing yours is, dominant on one foot. She also spends time in a jolly jumper and the walker, i dont think its anything to worry about and will correct itself when shes walking.

In the walker she seems to dominate one foot aswell and goes side ways, and generally backwards but is starting to use both feet to go forwards, so hopefully we will see her more balanced soon.
I know many babies that sound like yours. Faouring one side more than another. You may find she maybe right handed in the future.
I wouldn't panic just yet.
My girl was walking at seven months ....... She would start everything with one hand or foot but progressed to working out how to use both. Especially when holding food. She would use only one hand, didn't know how to use both hands (babies usually hold foodwith both hands) but didn't take long to get it. So, what your baby mig be doing now, favoring one side, give bub a couple months and you may see a change.

Thanks k.a.b.e and Skippy! Glad to know she isn't the only one!

Btw - skippy where do you get you footers from? They crack me up and I can have little giggles for ages after reading them. DH looks at me like I'm a nut - but takes one to know one!!

Thanks again ladies!
