My baby is nearly one and is 12.4kgs and 85cms everyone commets how big he is. He is perfectly healthy is there any big baby's out there, sometimes I feel like he is the only one.

Dont worry my boy is only just 9 months old and he weighs 11kg, he was only 8pound when he was born. But my dr said he is just a big happy boy, and not to stress about it. He doesnt over eat, he has the recommended amounts of formula. He is just a solid boy.

Yes my boy is a big bubba too.
He was born 3.5kg (7lb 14oz) and was 7.75kg at his last weigh in when he was 10 weeks old. He is solely breastfed, just really likes his food!! He is a long, solid baby. The nurse loves seeing him, reckons he is a great advertisement for breastfeeding!

I get lots of comments too, I just say yep he's a big healthy boy!

My DS who is now 11 was always big. He was 9lb 4oz when he was born. Only fitted newborn clothes for a few days. After that he was always in the age clothes that were double his age, kept this up until he was about 3 years wearing 6 year old clothes and then has gradually slowed down. He is 11 and only a few cm shorter than me.
He has always eaten us out of house and home, stopped eating kids meals when he was about 4. Wish that I could eat as much as he does without putting on weight smile
Love the fact that he's big and strong. Negatives....costs a fortune in food smile another negative was when he was young and needed to start wearing older boy clothes when he was still too young for a lot of the logos and styles
So yes it is normal...and don't expect it to suddenly change!

People will always make comments it SUCKS. My DS is nearly 11 months and not even 10kgs and people say that he's a big boy blink

i know what you mean my little boy was 9.04kg when born he is now 7 mths old now and 10.3kgs we always have people commenting on how big he is, and how much he eats.

Don't worry about what people say. I get comments nearly everyday on how big ds is, he turned 2 in august and is 18 kg, and just above top line in plunket book, I've been told he'll always be biggest/tallest in his classes etc. He was a prem baby weighing 2.68kg! I can't imagine what size he be when he's older hehe.
Doesn't bother me, he's happy and healthy.
