Hi
My twins are 16 months old and still have a dummy for bed time I'm not fazed by it as its not constantly in there mouths all day. If you really wanted to give the dummy up you would have to just take it away and go cold turkey but if his just gone one I don't see any probs him having it for bed time smile
My eldest dd had real dummy issues she gave it up just before she was 3 we had to make the "dummy fairy" come and get it and leave her a little thank you gift but Casey is too young for that sololution sad
Good luck with what you decide though smile
WOW!!! 1 that has gone so fast.

smile Thats all i do with ds. When he wakes up i take his dummy and put it up until sleep time. Its a comfort thing for them so i imagine it would be a big thing to get rid of. I cop it of my SIL for still letting him have a dummy so dont worry about what anyone says jude if your happy for him to have it then do it smile

Merry Christmas. Cheers thanks for. Replying.
my daughter is two and still has dummy for sleeptime. she is really good though, wakes up in the morning and says "here you go mummy", passing me the dummy, so it's no issue for me. plus we are a bout to have another baby, so it would be silly to take away her comfort so close to a new baby.

so sorry, no advice on how to stop using at night, but i was going to (when the time comes)use Jo Frost idea of the dummy fairy.
