6.5 month old is bored and grizzly on floor Rss

My 6.5 month old daughter has never enjoyed being on the floor, despite me playing with her. She is very grizzly and cries on the floor, but stops crying as soon as I pick her up. Because of this, we have indulged her in the front pack which she loves, carrying her around the house, while shopping etc. I now find that my daughter is behind other babies her age - she cannot lift her head up very far yet as her arms and chest cannot support her head, making her more grizzly.

I need somehow to get her to enjoy the floor and have been told just to keep putting her there little and often. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how you overcome it? I have been trying actively for 2 weeks now to give her lots of tummy time and back time on the floor.
Try a fit ball for helping with "tummy time", it helps stregthen the neck. I had dramas with my DS when he was about 3-4 mths old he hated tummy time due to weak neck muscles. It helped immensley and he thought it was so much fun as he wasn't down on the ground with his face down. Just lay her over the top of it on her tummy. You can then put her in front of a mirror or roll it side to side or forward a bit (of course not so far as to make her fall off!) This in turn helped my ds enjoy his floor time more. Hope this suggestion helps in some way.
Thanks for the fit ball suggestion, that sounds like a great idea. Thanks agin, Priscilla
Have you tried on your lap or you lying on your back and getting her to go on your tummy as I had trouble with my DS and that's how I got him to do tummy time

My baby is 6 months old, she started keeping control of her head properly at 4 months old. At 3 month the health nurse told me to do tummy time 5mins a day up to 6 times a day she use to cry alot when i did it but id jst try one minute even if she cried and gradually built it up.We also use the front pack carry thing while shopping so much easier than a big pram in shopping malls!
