I had my gall bladder taken out five weeks ago. We had been trying for a baby so when I had the operation they did two tests which came back negative however I'm not sure if they did a blood test as well. I don't have my periods yet and am worried that if I am pregnant that it might have affected the baby. Does Anyone know about much about anestetic and what it can do?

Not 100% sure but I think if in early days - under 6 weeks pregnant your baby is cells. I know they say alcohol before this time doesn't affect baby as the baby is not getting it's food from the placenta.

Hi i don't have any idea but is it possible u fell pregnant just after your surgery??? i had the exactly same surgery 2 years ago now and i got my period on the day of the surgery and fell pregnant 2 weeks later to my now 16month old. technically she was concieved on the day of my surgery (because they go by the first day of your last period) but really she wasn't.

does that make sense?? don't stress too much maybe just go and see your dr. oh and the surgery didn't cause any problems in my pregnancy even though i fell pregnant straight after.
