Confused by weight charts. Rss

Im a little confused lately by weight charts due to someone saying their DD is in a certain percentile but weighs 3kilos more than my daughter and is younger, yet she is in a lower percentile..

In my daughters purple book ive just seen they have been marking her on the boys chart in the last 4months not the girls...why I never picked up on this before idk, probally cause off all her hospital stays.

All I know is that my daughter on the gps computer chart and in her book is actually going down instead of staying along the same percentile or tracking nicely,

We are seeing the gp today so going to bring it up with him to help me understand, all i know is that the gp,doctors in ed and our ped have listed her as failure to thrive since 2months old. She is now almost one.

First time mummy so im really worried,as I know she has test comming up again as is for diffrent issues,
I'd be re-plotting your DD's weight on the right graph and tracking her growth that way first. It's completely normal for some kids "cross percentiles" a couple of times as they have growth spurts etc. but if your DD is continually dropping down then it can be a concern.

Hope you get some answers from your GP today
