My 6mth old dd hates baths
I am having trouble my dd is 6mths old and hates baths she screams the whole time i am bathing her and still cries and screams until she is dressed and then i have to cuddle her to calm her down, she gets that distressed . She used to love having a bath and it was the opposite to now she would cry when i took her out but then around 4mths she got reflux and ever since then hates bath, does anyone has any tips on how i can make it enjoyable for her i have tried everything i can think off,i have used a bath ramp, bath ring, singing to her but nothing seems to work, At the moment i only bath her once a week and wash her every other day with a bowel of water and face washer, but i am wanting to start setting a routine before bed, but i hate hearing her being so distressed and it takes her so long to calm down. Any tips would be really appreciated

Take her in the shower with you, failing that I'd just persist with the bath - make it quick and no fuss and she'll soon be over this phase. Sometimes its just a matter of them not liking being undressed, wet and then cold coming out so just do it quickly with water a good temp in a heated room.

Have you checked water temp with your elbow? Sometimes testing with your hand can end in the water being too cold or hot for bubs and with the weather changing you might find its too cool. Try a heater on the bathroom or where you dress her so she isn't too cold.
Also, do you think she might of had a scary slip when in the bath at some stage?
Another thing is to try a softer soap in the water. Some bath washes and bubble baths actually coming with a warning not to use them too often as they can cause genital irritation.
I hope you get it sorted. And persevere because if shes afraid of the bath she may carry that through to the pool or sea and thats not helpful for swimming lessons.
Good luck!

OOOHHH... INTERNET FIGHT. WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? CAPS LOCK ME TOO DEATH?
(Noddy's not fat ffs!)
My youngest went threw this when he was about 4 months old. I think it to do with not feeling safe like they get nerves in the water. I started taking him for a shower with me & he loves it.
He did get use to the bath but i had to bend over so i was close to him & he like to have his ducky in his hand.
I would give the shower ago, it doesn't hurt to try.
