Drinking cup Rss

Just wondering at what age did you start to give your little ones a cup and how did they take to it.
Thankyou

Hey Mel

Mia is drinking from the Av3nt bottle with a spout and handles and has been since 6 months. She loves it - 'look at me - I'm a big girl".

I tried a 'normal' spout cup but the flow was too fast and I couldn't slow it down so the Av3nt idea is great!

There is a little disk thing in the top of the spout to stop it from leaking. While she was learning to drink from the spout, I took this out so the water went into her mouth without having to suck and this showed her what it was all about. Now I have put the disk back in and she sucks like mad and drinks around 80 mls a day. Hope this helps.

Hi, Ella couldn't get use to a cup with a valve flow so our Plunket Nurse acutally suggested a cup with a straw. Reckons that they get more fluid into them that way. O & it looks reallllly cute!!!

Hi my daughter Sidney is 8 months old, I gave her a cup with a flow restricted spout so she had to suck to get the water out, she hated it, couldn't get used to tipping it up to get anything out and so wasn't drinking enough water. My mother in law works in a pharmacy and I went in and got the pidgeon MagMag. It has three levels of use, a bottle teat, a spout and a straw. Sidney went straight to the straw. She doens't have to tip up the cup, just suck, she will drink about 200mls a day sometimes more. She loves her cup!! I highly recommend it. She can do it herself,I leave the cup with her and she just driks as she needs it. It's great.
