Hey there
Kai is 7.5 months old and has been 'teething' since he was about 4 months and still has not cut a tooth i have found that the curash teething gel works great, and also infant panadol for those really tough days, i also found for nihjt time sleeping if u have a cloths dryer warm up a sheet or towl lie bub down and the warmth helps realive some of the pain and is also very comforting.
hope this has been some sorta help im in the same boat as you this is my first child and i have know idea what to do lol

My DD got her first 2 teeth at 10 weeks and now has 18 at 18mths & they where all awful when she was cutting them.
I used panadol(when it was really bad)but I also used to put my finger in her mouth and rub her gums(with some bonjela),she seemed to like this you can also use sm-33 it is a bit stronger.
The chemist also has that Breuers(sp?)brand of herbal products I used the teething one it seemed to help a bit.
Place some washers in the freezer and give them to bub to chew they are nice and cold.
Hope I have helped in some way,all these methods will help bub but the truth is teething is horrible for some bubs and all you can do is go with it and cheer for joy when you see that white cut through the gum(until the next one anyway wink )

DD got her first one at 12 weeks - it was so horrible. There was next to nothing out there to help me and I was so new to being a mum. The Chemist said I could use a tiny bit of bonjella and massage it into her gums. I didn't use panadol back then either, where in hindsight I should have. If your DD likes to chew on any-thing, that will help - although only during the day. It really suck up until that tooth breaks through. Best of luck, hope your DD settles soon.

DD is 3yr 8 months - DS is 6 months

I agree with Tarryn,
I use the Curash gel, which seems to work better for DS as the bonjela does and use panadol too!
Seems to work for us and he still gets a full nights sleep even when he was cutting his double teeth!
Though i think i'm lucky and he seems to be good when teething!

Hi Sadie,
My little munchkin Allira got her first two bottom teeth at four months, she is now eight months and has eight teeth is currently cutting another one.
Things I found that really helped her out apart from the baby pnadol and bonjella are cold things for her to chew on. Teething rings, cold, wet face cloths and the best thing that soothes and settles her the most is the iceblocks you get from the supermaket. You know the long thin ones, I give her one of those straight from the freezer unopened and she will chew and suck on it till it melts.
The worst thing about teething is the side effects that go along with it. Allira get's an upset tummy and does about six runny poos a day and gets terrrible nappy rash. She screams when i have to wipe her bum, so i just keep up the nappy rash cream and regularly change her nap. Also with this las tooth I have found that she has had a bit of an earache, I have found that panadol helps with this.
Good luck.

My baby girl also used to be quite placid but now she's got a bulging lump in her gum, and sounds like she's saying owowowow all the time, and babling really angrily.
I've got bongela gel witch I'm trying today. Panodol helps a little. I've also brought brauer teething releif but have'nt tried it yet. Does this work? (brauer)
