Hi everyone, long story short I'm just wondering if there are any mum's or dad's out there with Polycythemia Vera (it's a blood disorder) and if your baby/kids were affected by it or inherited it? My partner has it and I'm wondering what the chances are that our daughter might either have it or inherit it from him? I only ask here as we don't have a specialist in our area anymore sad Thanks

Hi Isabella,
The mutation that produces the disease originates in the blood, and the baby produces its own blood, so the disease is never passed from the parents to the babies.
I have Polycythemia Vera and I had had five first trimester miscarriages. I am waiting for an IVF.
