Formula + Eczema HELP!
Hey, My daughter is 3months old and has had bad eczema since she was 4 weeks. I have tired heaps of different creams and stuff but nothing is working. Does anyone know of a formula thats can help clear her eczema?
Have you tired non-ionic cream along with locoid cream?
Dont know of a formula unfortunately, but try pinetarsol lotion. It is a yellow lotion that you can put on a baby's skin before bathing. We got it from our doctor free on prescription. Our son had eczema most worse on his face and neck but since using the lotion it has dramatically reduced. We have never needed any locoid/steriod cream, the pinetarsol lotion has been a big help. Plus moisturise a lot - also very important - we have tried many different kinds but found aveno baby soothing moisturiser best. We also stopped washing with any kind of soaps (even ones that say fine or good for sensitive skin).
I don't know about any creams / lotions / or formula but my friends DD has extremely bad eczema, she is now 5 and has had it since birth. My friend has tried absolutely everything, she is raving about a Hazelwood necklace she got for her DD and swears by it. It is the only thing she has found to help with the eczema. Here is a stockist in NZ but if you're from Australia I'm sure you could find a stockist through google:

Hi there! I'm not sure about the formula but my brother and sister have eczema, and they go to the naturopath. Within 3 days I notice a difference. She is prob too little for that now but may be good to know if her eczema doesn't clear up in the future. My friends little boys eczema too, was so bad he was actually hospitalized. One of the doctors said to her that heat and water aggravate it. So for 4 months she wiped him down with a damp cloth and moisturized instead of giving him a bath, put him in cotton clothes and sheets and set his bed up on the tiles in the living room with sheets only. If he went swimming she would just put a zinc oxide sun cream on him from head to toe. She said was hard work but his skin is ecxzema free most of the time and he only gets small patches now! Good luck, hope you find something that works.
Hi my daughter has widespread Eczema all over her body. We use soft white paraffin - it is just like Vaseline (very greasy) but certainly does the trick. We will also put her in a wet jump suit after putting the cream on her - that will help put the moisture back into the skin.
Also I use in the bath liquid paraffin oil - again help put moisture into the skin.
Hope this helps you. Just remember that everyone if different though - it is a lot of trial and error with Eczema sad
