Mother smoking over newborn Rss

This is just a vent........

Yesterday while at the shops a woman walked past with a young girl (3-4?) and a newborn baby in her arms. She was smoking a cigarette. I find this inexcusable and I bit my tounge soooooooo hard not to say something.

Where's the number for DOCS.......................??
It Is upsetting, not something I would do! I'm not a smoker but I wouldn't let anyone do it near my baby either!

Thats terrible!!! I would HATE for someone to blow smoke on me....why do it to a poor child who can't get away from it.

judgemental yes....but child abuse....definately...and i feel child abuse is inexcusable!!

It is terrible. I see lots and lots of mothers and fathers smoking around their children (either young babies or older toddlers) all the time and it makes me so cross and upset. angry Thank goodness it's against the law to smoke in cars with children now because that is the worst.

It might be illegal but plenty still do it. When I worked in a drive thru bottleshop, I saw a car pull up (with windows up I might add) and the driver and passenger smoking with a baby and other kid in the car. I was pretty disgusted to say the least, but im not ballsy enough to say anything. They could've at least had the windows down sad
Absolutely disgraceful. I don't understand how anyone does it around their children and especially little babies. sad
Thats disgusting i live in a house full of somkers (i dont) but there is no way they will be holding my bub while smoking or even smoking around him
i think its wrong
I saw someone doing around their sister's baby while she was in the shop

as for not smoking around children it still actually passes on to them as it is in hair, on hands/clothes so when you touch the child it goes on them and they can also smell the left over fumes and breathe in the ash but alot don't realise this and justify not smoking around their children or in the house
