Just wanted to see if this is normal?
My little boy Gabriel has been on losec for reflux since 5 weeks old. This plus lactose free formula has worked a treat with the reflux and wind pains. However he is still so windy. He will be burping and passing gas like hours after a feed. Even up till the next feed. I use Dr Brown bottles and still have him on a slower teat as he does tend to guzzle. I burp him regularly (3 times during) to which he does monster burps. He is constantly spewy but since the losec isn't overly distressed only if it comes through his nose poor bubba. He goes for a bowel motion 1-2 daily and these are claylike to normal. He has never been loose. I have to give him water regular to keep things moving. Is this normal? He is hard to settle sometimes with the wind and writhes around in his sleep. Will this just settle? Anyone had this? I do the massages and cycling legs etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had this happen to me as well except ..I found that my 5day old baby is tongue tied..havenu looked under his tongue to see if he has tongue tied..cos babies with tongue tied find it hard to suck..they can still suck in the milder cases of tongue tied but they get a lot of wind and breast feeding is very painful for mummy...I could be totally wrong but it doesn't help to take a look or ask a dr to take.a look at his tongue...
